I checked around in trade and was told the Mage Tower is suppose to always be up. Right now it is not and I don’t see the NPC who ports you inside. The tower is listed as destroyed. Do I have to wait for its construction like before?
It’s only up when it’s Legion timewalking.
They took it down with the start of Dragonflight due to the changes in classes. Looks to be coming back in the next patch since it’s up for testing on the PTR.
Well that’s lame =(
It was taken down with pre-patch to be re-tuned for the new classes.
It will be back, probably in or before 10.1
Blue posted this back in October
Is that a guarantee? They said that Brawler’s would be back too…
Yeah I was aware of it being taken down to be re-tuned for the new talent trees.
Brawlers was getting old honestly
They’re aiming for 10.0.5 as of a bit ago.
As of SL the mage tower has always been up permanently. It was taken down when DF pre patch dropped so it could be tuned.
I stand corrected. I barely played SL so wasn’t aware of the change.
Not really, until 9.1.5 (Nov 2021) the primary purpose had been removed for 3.5 years. And even then it was slated to be on rotation until blizz did this:
So, as of SL. Exactly what I said?
It’s in todays PTR update
“As of SL” entails all of it. Mage tower was only up “permanently” for 210 days of the 701 days of shadowlands lifespan.
The “as of” statement would be more applicable to say that as of bfa prepatch we have had the account-wide honor system. Which has been true 100% of the time.
As of SL entails, it became permanent during SL.
They just announced it’ll be coming in soon. I think they’re adding it to beta testing first though? Its in the patch notes
Ooh, that’s actually great news.
Before they went away what was the reward for doing it
