Mage Tower Availability Extended and Tuning Adjustments

Still sucks… for guardian druid. Nay sayers… roll a guardian druid and give it a try. Cheesed the tower with the DH it was way too easy.
Over 50 tries in on druid and have yet to see phase 2. Let the get gud post start, but guardian druid challenge needs a serious look. I am not saying nerf it to the ground, but I expect to make progress after 50 attempts least to the point where we can get to phase 2…

Whats frustrating is knowing exactly what happened. Exactly what im supposed to do to counter it, and just having bad rng make that not matter

May I suggest making the “Hands” in the Twins be Bounceable or something for interrupting? As a balance druid we have a 1 minute CD on our only interrupt that affects them. If I am pushing hard I can get every other hand. … if I rotate things out correctly. I am not sure how badly the lack of interrupts affect other classes, BUT I know Balance has a longer CD on our only one than what we had in Legion.

building timewalking sets has been a thing since timewalking began. it’s not an exploit.

They didnt want to consult Clark? He did it on a 52 fury warrior with dbl crusader and said it was easy. If he says they’re not hard, then i’m sold.

I’ve already wrote about this but mentioning this again. In its current form , this change has made p2 more difficult.

The adds have a propensity to run at velen, then cast their ability within 4 seconds. The issue in p2, where you are kiting the boss and avoiding the beams, is now that the adds are fixed in place, it can be very difficult to group them to actually get the interrupt out on all 4 adds. I’ve had 2 wipes already where the 3 of the 4 adds i can stop, but the 4th was fixed in place, and runs over after i incap, full channeling the ability, which i now can’t interrupt since everythings on CD. I’ve also had adds stop in the infernal knockback, so again, you can’t get to them. The adds also stop sometimes and stand on velen, immediately killing him too.

The hp nerfs were fine and more than enough. If you really wanted to, nerfing the aoe ability damage itself would have made this fine. But having them not moving while channeling has actually made this more difficult

Blizzard intends for the content to be essentially “gear-agnostic” - any gear should be just as good as any other good, within some reasonable margin of error. I don’t know how people can say it isn’t an exploit when Blizzard is literally using hotfix patches to fix the incorrect scaling. The proof is in the pudding as they say.

Now, Blizzard isn’t going to ban anyone, and it isn’t a “bug”, but exploiting design is still exploiting, it just isn’t as much of a gross violation as exploiting a bug. Typically Blizzard just fixes design exploits and only bans for bug exploits.

Give us our Artifacts and Legendries in the mage tower this is absurd to not include these essential items.

I’ve finished guardian druid. Have 3 orbs as phase 2 begins or start over.

It’s weird because people state it’s fine to build a time walking set of gear (I don’t disagree) but also the Mage Tower is not supposed to be trivial like standard Time Walking content. These seem to be at odds philosophically.

Still too late for me. Enough is enough. Always the same story with this dev team.

I am go cut some fruits.

When the remaining small sub base realizes the straws this team is grasping at, and how they blatantly slapped players in the face with the bait and switch, that will be enough for some. Sadly, WoW uses the same tactics that an abusive spouse does, and many of the base has stockholm syndrome for the reasons they come back and put up with it. 17 years, it’s way overdo for a divorce.

Yeah I’m not remotely seeing this change, or the movement interrupt one, I Typhoon while they’re channeling and they’re still channeling and kill Velen whos made out of paper apparently.
