because this game needs LESS players
That’s what I thought, but that’s kind of also the problem. People are wanting at least recolors of the weapon appearances, they did it for Guardian Druid with fel-werebear because the model was only used for the Mage Tower Guardian form and hadn’t been used elsewhere at that point in time. No other spec got a recolor of the Mage Tower weapon.
I’d laugh my non-existent tail off if those appearances ever hit the Trading Post. And then smash that Purchase button on the Were-Bear forms, and then dance in the middle of Storm Wind’s Trade District rocking that form.

Yeah, I have a few and I agree with this. By the end of Legion it was really just, “Did you have enough time to farm enough Argus world gear and your spec’s best Legendaries?” Especially during the last few weeks when the Sword of Sargeras overcharged everyone’s artifacts, that trivialized a bunch to the point where I could do them no problem.
Personally, I think it would be neat if the people who did it when it was current got a Feat of Strength that gave them a title like, “Legendary Wielder of Ashbringer,” or whatever to commemorate the occasion and the original appearances became a reward you get if you beat the current Mage Tower on all of your class’s specs.

That doesn’t make sense to me. The druid form is the armor. It’s not even that good looking and it’s so overrused.
I didn’t play during Legion, so I don’t know much about the Mage Tower armor, but you unlock the different colors of werebear same way you unlock the other colors of Mage Tower artifact weapon skins. Feral and Guardian don’t get to see their weapons so they had to make the artifact weapon appearance forms for the corresponding spec. Werebear is tied to the Guardian Mage Tower artifact skin unlock.
more people care about things like transmog then pve/pvp stuff sooooo i don’t have data but its likely
In my opinion, since we not only buy the game but also pay a sub for it, we should have access to unlocking any appearance. Limited time stuff is fine but it should come back now and then for a limited time.
Make limited time challenges which are possibly possibly harder than the mage tower for a way to acquire these.
When I played back in legion, I could still go back to pandaria content and unlock transmogs from those raids.

There is literally nothing wrong with this. For example, getting some of the older legendaries. I went and got Shadowmourne a few years back, mostly for the cool story attached to it and to have it available to use on mogs. I did the cape legendary in MoP. I did the ring in WoD. I buffed up the cape to maximum in BfA. I really don’t give a flying F if other people get something now that I got back in the day.
People are going to get stuff when it’s current. That’s always going to happen. Some people either can’t for one reason or another, or at the time didn’t have an inclination to. It’s unfair to newer members that never got a chance to get these things.
Let’s let folks get the mage tower appearances again. It literally affects nobody who got them already aside from slightly wounded pride.

If anything bring them back in some other limited time difficult challenges that happen maybe once or twice a year.

I think yearly things is fine, there’s nothing wrong with say, the Christmas events and having stuff only available during them.
I went and got Dragonwrath just last patch, it was annoying and hard in it’s own way in some parts. During all I could think was “I can not imagine having to do this as current content, this is awful as legacy.” It’s weird that I can get certain legendaries and not others. I can get Dragonwrath, the bow from Sunwell Plateau, but not the MoP cloak, or WoD ring? I also went back and got the BfA cloak. I started at the end of SL.
Naw. And I say that with having not gotten them all.

I know it is easy to miss, but once again, all Legion appearance were absolute faceroll at the end of expansion, no skill whatsoever was required.
I was going to say “Oh, yet another mage tower post” but this, this just makes you not deserve the special appearance no matter what.

I am impressed at mental gymnanstics,
it is “must have skills”,
then “must be playing at special moment”,
while like hundreds of players with RMT being wagoned to the “SPECIAL” mounts.

P.S. I have two exclusive time gated mounts, if I could I would share them with absolutely everybody, I would prefer they would be available for 50 gold at vendor after 1 expansion passed.
That’s the general idea a lot of people have, but the problem with that is that in most of the posts here like this one, a lot of people don’t simply want to have the unattainable appearances, they just don’t like the idea of some having things they can’t, so with that solution this “problem” would remain the same. A lot of people would be happy with this, even people that did the mage tower back then and have reasons to not want it to come back, but those that act like “Oh, why they have the possibility to have the 100% completionism but I’m forever limited at the 95%???”, those will never be happy, even with a “good enough change for all” like that one, and surprisingly I’ve seen so many people like that…

I have both skins. I promise it’s a case of grass being greener on the other side in the case if the bear- fel is way cooler and it’s the only one I use now. Ghost I use a little more now as of this patch because I like to RP with the green variant, but I normally default to the bark/leaf cat.
