Where are all the skillfull players in this thread? You guys should be drawn to this offer like flies to feces.
They’re exploiting the scaling system by using gear that is bugged when scaled down. Literally the definition of a exploit is using something to have an advantage Bc if a flaw in the system.
I’m not saying the exploit is exclusive. I’m saying we shouldn’t need to exploit the scaling system to beat the tower.

Yeah, these games used to be made by people who liked playing games.
The entire dev team has changed since those days. Now we got devs who aren’t comfortable making games anymore they are still looking to change things in game to make their work environment safer.
I don’t want it nerfed yet bc ego lmao and i wanna get the things I need to cheese it.

I don’t think you understand what gear is being used.
Most of the people I see are simply using SoO gear or Mists PvP gear. It’s not bugged, it just has sockets.

Most people haven’t beaten the bear challenge. Stop comparing fury warrior mage tower to bear, lol.
People who wanna beat them prenerf can do so. They should know no one cares about their achievement nor their time, because for most it’s wasted as the majority will just wait for the nerf and 1 shot the nerfed versions and get the same reward.
It’s in the Druid forums. And it’s a thing. But I don’t consider it a “bug” that skewers anyones chances of beating it
It’s not an exploit - it’s how scaling works thanks to Timewalking - it’s no different than using the legendary Cloak from MoP for example during Timewalking events. If we had to ban someone who used optimized gear when they got scaled down, we’d have to ban a lot of people who run normal time walking dungeons/raids.
So using gems, enchants, potions, flasks, and stat food is now cheese? Damn…looks like all those people who have been getting Cutting Edge all these years have been cheesing it.
There’s a DPS check involved though - you need the gear to push out DPS. Getting to phase 2 and surviving the first couple annihilates is considered doing the mechanics. But you also need to have the gear to be able to push high enough DPS.
You can stay in Bear…but you have to be aware of when Nether Horrors come out so you can drop your stacks, pick up adds, cleave on top of Variss, and drop stacks again. It’s a pita to do it that way (gotten to phase 2, but super sloppy, haven’t completed it yet though)

Blizz seemed to overlook some gear bonuses.
Sockets and enchants because the enchants are use in lower than lvl 50 gear.
I’ve got 10 hours into this tower. Mechanics aren’t my problem. I don’t have the gear for the dps check in phase 2. I’ve read all the guides and watched all the videos.
This was advertised as “needing only shadowlands gear” to do.
That is not the case. People are exploiting the scaling system by using under lvl50 gear to enchant and get them for cheese the dps check in phase 2 of guardian tower.
Prove me wrong that it can be done in all shadowlands gear

I’m perfectly fine with having a super hard challenge that requires almost zero mistakes with maximum uptime as humanly possible. I’m not fine with having to spend 100-200k gold on consumables and socketed gear in order to complete the tower. It’s boring to do that.
I’m not though.
But it’s a stretch to pretend SoO gear is an exploit. An Exploit would be using Occular Gland that gives you SL level secondaries while scaled down. That was hotfixed.
They’ve hotfixed a whole lot of the bugged ones that didn’t downscale.
+7 stat gems are just +7 stat gems. Nothing wrong with using them. It shouldn’t be required by the tuning, but it’s not an exploit.
Bear is literally the lowest DPS tank in Shadowlands. Outside of high-rated PvP gear (for the +Vers) or very specific, cheesy previous-expac trinkets there’s just not many ways you can “squeeze” more DPS out of it.
People comparing high DPS specs to Bear Druid are clueless. Of COURSE beating the challenge is “easy” on a good-DPS spec, most of the “challenges” are little more than simple DPS checks… you got the DPS/numbers? You win. You don’t got the numbers? You lose/wipe.

Gems enchants is cheese because the best ones can ONLY be applied to items under lvl 50. Exploiting the scaling system. By definition
This exactly. 75% of it is boom chicken. The only time I’m in bear form is for the adds.

Not the players fault here though, it’s Blizzards for making it impossible without exploiting timewalking features and drugging yourself up on top tier consumes.
