obviously their damage is very strong right now, but frost seems to be lacking a solid way to regain their HP aside from alter time (which we don’t even get til after 50)
killing elites that can’t be frozen has actually been somewhat challenging, and many classes feel outright impossible to beat in duels
is anyone else experiencing this, and do you have any tips? i really miss temp shield

Block high. abuse poly resets and food for duels.
maybe play without shimmer for duels. Blink stuns and abuse frosts natural ability to kite.
Look at the defensive and utility covenants they will be getting plus the triple shield legendary.
Mage was a raid boss in BFA
Mage easier to kill in prepatch but that’s a good thing. Mage should have much lower survivability. Can’t have the “cannon” part of mage only and not the “glass” element that was supposed to be attached to it.
Mages are probably tier B because no self healing and stuff.
What class can’t you kill in duels exactly?

Mage doesn’t have alter right now. They will at 58+ tho so that is huge to their kit. Also make sure you are using mirror images defensively as it’s a 20% wall now
mine isnt the elite one it’s the normal version from pvp mog vendor on ally

Ret can run that ranged slow n undispell freedom to flop frost in duel. cant kite past duel range
also if warr geared rip mage on spine + warbreaker crit or 7k slams thrown in
Idk when I duel on my mage the only thing that’s hard is shadowpriest and I just max range them to win
Every melee is a bit of a joke to win minus feral too I guess
mage can spec to be more toxic to ret. Idk if undispellable freedom is enough to win tbh.
idk must be a XP thing. I’ve never seen a good lock lose to a mage, esp frost lol.
They literally have every tool to win that. Arms with bladestorm/avatar can def get ahold of frost and if they got gear can win it fast.

Petkick and Noobender is on my CRZ too. 50g says either of those dks would flop any mage in duro lol rn.
Edit: Triple caut blink fire with blazing shield over shimmer and prismatic is like the best duel lord spec tho. coastal surge too
With blazing blink and 50% magic damage wall for 2 lets you negate alot of burst esp from destro/boomy or ele stormkeeper and handle spriest dmg, you just cant let them max range you and kite
I hope mage is bad in SL
Idk it’s really easy to regain your distance on them imo, cone of cold is super strong against them, and the CDs of avatar/bladestorm are far longer than novas
All you need to do is live for a bit and you’re fine
