It would appear that clearcasting isn’t proccing off of blizzard or flamestrike.
After 1k plus casts it hasn’t proceeded to proc once.
Was this stealth nerfed since the patch? The tool tip and past experience has it proccing off of the base casts of both abilities.
I have had plenty of clearcasting procs off of flamestrike.

Now I am not doubting you did test it, but I doubt you casted it 1k times and got zero proc’s. Please post a log or a completed overall segment with time stamps and casts.

Are you doing damage when you cast it?
I think you actually have to hit something to get the proc.
So it was during farming of ZG mobs, flamestrike did eventually proc clearcasting but blizzard did not.
Don’t have logs but trying to see if anyone else had a similar issue.
Was that changed in TBC?
I would cast Blizzard in Org waiting for PvP queues in Classic and would have clearcasting proc.
If I recall correctly, BC introduced the change that only the first wave of Blizzard can proc Clearcasting, and only if that first wave deals damage.
Are you pre-casting Blizzard and then letting them walk into it, or casting Blizzard on top of the mobs?
they did nerf blizzard making it not able to proc for clearcasting (i heard jokerd say this on stream) and flamestrike im not rlly sure if they did anything with it.

So I can confirm rank 1 blizzard does NOT proc CC.
I was farting around with mara pulls and when I accidentally killed all the poison sprites I noticed I literally never got any CC procs except off my flamestrike casts. I did a log if you want to see it, 3 CC procs, none on blizzard.

Then I went to Burning Steppes to test it on green mobs, I did 50 Rank 6 blizzards and got 2 CC procs (that took a while too as I only get 5 per mana bar).
I did 65 Rank 1 blizzards (that was quick), letting each tick for 2-3 ticks and got 0 CC procs.
I did 54 Rank 1 Arcane Explosions and got 5 CC procs.
I hope Blizz fix this bug asap, I might just respec out of it though in the mean time.
I have been noticing this as well. Is this some stealth nerf to keep aoe farming/boost mages from spamming rank 1 blizzards to dig for CC procs into max rank blizzards? Even max rank blizzard CC procs seem overly rare but they do at least happen. It does not feel right.
This was driving me nuts, i changed my talents to have Clearcasting while doing ZF and not even 1 proc. I would understand if they nerfed lvl 1 Blizzard, but it’s madness to prevent high level Blizzard from triggering it.
