I remember when i would get a Brain Freeze/Fingers of frost/Missile Barrage/ Hot streak I would be a little aura around my character, is that in later expansions? When I get a fingers of frost proc in the pre-patch It makes a sound and I get the buff but I don’t get the little frost aura around my character
Yes, that is a later expansion. There are addons for it tho. I dont remember if it came out in mop or cata.

Weakauras probably does this. I had to use something like this for Clearcasting as Elemental in Classic
Weak Auras for sure. You should be able to find some on the relevant class Discord, but you can make your own.
It’s what I use for my swing timer & MSW/lightning weaving. It’s just a lot more complex of an aura, so it’s less easily created on my own.
On warmane the most popular one for this was called cheese. But alot of people prefer making their own through weakauras or power auras.
You’re thinking Cataclysm. But theres an addon that can simulate the cata proc notifications (not sure if i can post addon names here).
Blizzard didn’t add spell activation overlays until Cataclysm.
