Macro making is mildly broken in Cata classic

Since Cata classic launched we’ve lost the ability to shift-click spells out of our spellbook into a macro that we’re making (or at least I have). For example I was trying to make a start attack macro with mangle bear on my druid that I’m leveling, as in:

#showtooltip Mangle (bear)
/startattack
/cast Mangle (bear)

I would love to be able to shift click mangle out of my spellbook like I’ve done all through every other version of classic to make sure I have the right one. Because as of now I type “Mangle” into the macro and I get an error message that says “must be in cat form.” Same thing happens with swipe. Putting “(bear)” or “(cat)” in the macro doesn’t help either. Please give me my shift click functionality back blizz.

/use [form:1] Mangle(Bear Form);[form:3] Mangle(Cat Form)

The space is breaking your macro.

Agree on shift click though. It’s annoying.

I’ve also noticed you can’t link spells and abilities in the chat anymore either. It could be an addon interfering but I have haven’t been able to since pre patch.
