Machinist in FFXIV

Is exactly what I want from a class in WoW. Lots of abilities that are intuitive but not simple to use. Gunslinging, turret, steampunk goodness with a little DoT damage and burning thrown in.

sorry, that doesn’t sound like something that can be played on a phone

Why not just play it in FFXIV?

I am playing it in FF, but I want something as engaging as that in WoW.

I say this in hoping Blizz takes some inspiration from the jobs of FF for 9.0.

How about no? Play FFXIV if you want machinist, but let WoW classes be original.

Would it be original if it was called “Tinker”?

This isn’t part of the design direction with this new dev team, you’ll want to go back to FFXIV for that stuff.

Again, the whole point is to suggest that the FF way is more engaging and fun.

I don’t think he wants the class to be copy and pasted to WoW, rather he wants something with the same aesthetic and the amount of options the machinists currently have in FF.

Kinda curious. How exactly does it work? The intuitive but not simple thing.

Nice try. Just go play FF then if you think that.

I believe they already made a statement that they agree the class design needs work and will be getting attention.

They’ve said a lot of things in the last couple of years, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I didn’t say they’ll get it right, but it was made in a heavily scripted and really awkward video by Ion “what do I do with my hands” Hazzikostas, so they’ll have to act on it.

I want exactly that. I would like something that plays with a heat gauge that changes up the rotation when you overheat. A mechanical ranged DPS with DoTs and guns. Summoning a turret to help or harm. Etc.

I would like to try a wow machinist

So many ignorant replies. Those same ignorant replies are from people who can’t stand what’s happening to WoW, yet complain when opinions and advice is thrown in.

Get off your troll high horse and grow up. The only way we can make WoW better place starts with the community coming together and showing our concerns to the devs.

Whether the devs listen or not is another thing. Many MMOS have died due to this. All we can do is stick together and try to save a game a that’s being ruined, SLOWLY, but surely.

“Troll high horse”… Spoken from a high horse. :see_no_evil:

Ty for proving my point.

Can’t deny the point of WoW going to dark places.

I agree with you on that point although there are too many FF posts on the forums.

If Blizzard is so incompetent as to not have a market research team and to study other games they’re competing with, what makes anyone think that a forum thread will do any good??? At least be fair and acknowledge the shear amount of faith in this getting any attention unless it blows up to like 2000 replies, even then I highly doubt any devs will be “enlightened” or consider the request.
