I personally don’t get this obsession with gear… most people that raid with a group USUALLY enjoy the act of defeating bosses, having some bants, and the loot is just the added little bonus.
Going in FOR ME with a mind set of only getting gear and everyone can bugger off feels like a very crummy way of playing the game… but that’s just me.
Gale is bad for most classes and specs, and the siege trinket is only really great for some classes. Try being a tank. Tank trinkets nearly always suck in m+ and we are forced to raid to get good/relevant trinkets >.>
Please realize that the VAST majority of players aren’t running Mythic Raids or even +15 keys. M+'s issues are more prevalent at every level below that.
Although they’re not gone entirely at that upper end. It’s just mitigated.
Why even do mythics when you can do vision and get a 470 guaranteed

I know some people that haven’t done any mythic raids that are out gearing mythic raiders just due to the fact of m+ drops a 100% corrupted item every week.

If you’re not running high keys or mythic raids, then the loot discussion is completely moot. You don’t need top end gear to do the content you are doing. You do not even need to step foot into a m+, EVER, if you are only doing heroic or sub heroic raiding.
My 445 DK tank can time 15’s.
The gear argument becomes more moot the lower on the content ladder you drop.

Thats why raid participation has been falling off after first clears right? its almost like without things like tier sets (Gear) were a major driving factor in raid re-clears in previous expansions

My problem with m+ is how it artifically inflates everyones ilvl and ego making them think theyre gods at the game for getting high ilvl loot when in reality they cant parse higher than 50% in a raid… oh but their m+ i.o rating is 2k which makes them soo good
They don’t need to raid. People don’t need to raid. M+ is probably the most efficient way to gear because it’s better than mythic raiding.
