M+ is NOT content! The problem with modern WoW

Who would have ever thought that the selfie patch would be better MMORPG content then what they’re giving us now. lol

Is not crucial at all, you get crappy loot, and if you are lucky to get it. Is not crucial since instead been fun you do only one 14 a week Monday night and get the good loot from the vault. So there is no point to run 10 or 20 m+… There for is not crucial.

I can see the appealing for some but the reality beside e sport the majority of players are not kin to it. Toxic environment, the player that rage quite on first wipe, fight to be aprove if you get the +M rate and the effort vs reward is Terrible.

Raid hard bosses and mechanics for some 2 or 3 pieces of gear for the whole raid per boss? I did all the raid bosses one week and mega doungeon… For my very very bad luck only got one gear item. Well since you can only do one week… Disappointed… Then m+ give low item levels compare to vault so why do many?

Blizz mentality has to shift or at least be honest and say we make 10 millions dollars on esports so fu casual players.

This is why the exodus is happening and they can recognize it. Or they don’t want to believe… But wow is dieing… They can res it. Some cpr… But only if they do it before the 3 min where is brain death… If they don’t make the cha he’s the community has scream at them… Wow will die and won’t be able to be res

M plus gear is quite good when you can upgrade it to 246 with valor

You’re spare parts , reading what you “tried” to write gave me a massive headache, learn to proofread

What content is not having bis gear keeping you from doing? Do you like how many people would be up and unsub if the whole player base got bis gear in two weeks? There would be no point in raiding unless you were going for AOTC or CE. That’s a lot of no people where raid would become absolutely useless.

All of my guildies who were playing TBC are already raid logging. Who wants to be raid logging a month into a patch?

I’ve seen you say this pointless statement many times. What does it mean? Do you think it’s cool? Do you say this alone in your room when looking in the mirror? You complain about what others type but then here we are. Maybe offer something constructive to the thread… oh wait that is beyond your capabilities to discuss a topic because of your catchphrase.

Good day

Thanks for clarifying your age and communication skills. Good luck. You are gonna need it.

Now back to the topic and hopefully some day this game can be a wonderful journey again instead of a hamster wheel.

I think we pay people like him to stay home now.

He’ll be fine.

True, but the reverse is also true. I got my Unholy domination shard socket bonus helmet from the vault this week, which was an amazing upgrade and made me really happy.

I definitely prefer the vault with 1-3 guaranteed pieces of gear to choose from, opposed to gold / AP from a bonus roll token. I don’t always get something good, but I have gotten a LOT of big upgrades via the GV. I’d like to see that feature improved on and carried forward.

Wrong and I’ll explain why in your next statement.

You could of gotten that awhile ago if there was a Badge vendor. There should be a Valor and Badge vendor. Valor for M+ and Badges for Raiding.

We don’t need an extremely toxic system like the Great Vault that hurts everyone overall and causes people to leave or not come back because they are behind.

RNG gearing is always bad especially when it’s items YOU NEED!

I don’t because you have to do more chores for the great vault and then when you don’t get what you need it feels exponentially worse. It’s actually far more toxic and actually miss BFA at this point. Gearing was way better in 8.3 than anything in SL.

It’s why you are likely here while others have left because you won the lottery which I hope you can see how terrible that design is. I have not gotten and friends have not gotten what we needed and uninstalled. Why bother. It feels bad and always will. Players shouldn’t feel bad playing a game. However at every turn you feel bad right now playing World of Warcraft and that has to stop.

Sorry but there is no other way to look at the Great Vault then what it is. It’s a time-played chores list every week that destroys the player base with it’s toxicity. It forces player into activities they don’t want to do or to pay for boost. Which ruins the game.

The game becomes immediately better soon as you remove the Vault. Period!

This is literally how the game has been for pretty much its entire life.

  • Classic: Run the same dungeons on repeat to try to get your class set.
  • BC: Run the same dungeons on repeat to try to get your class set(s).
  • LK: Run the same dungeons on repeat to try to get your crafting patterns.
  • Cata: Dunno, skipped most of that one.
  • MoP: Run the same dungeons on repeat to earn rep to upgrade your gear.
  • WoD: Run the same dungeons on repeat hoping for a warforge and for currency to upgrade your gear.
  • Legion: M+ added to the game - Run the same dungeons on repeat to get better versions of gear you are wearing.
  • BoA: M+ still a thing - Now with loot box.
  • SLands: M+ still a thing - Now with expanded sources for the loot box.

It really hasn’t though and this has been covered above in this thread. However there is a distinct difference between now and in the past. Where now you have weekly chores for RNG and it doesn’t end.

Sorry but in the old game which obviously was designed for the players to be on a journey you could do content and finish it. If you did “farm” dungeons how long did it last? 1 week, 2 weeks? We also had Valor and Badge vendors to target gear we wanted which felt good, meaning there was a clear destination of our journey. There was a start and finish date which feels good in an MMORPG.

What feels bad is a weekly chore list with the Great Vault which penalizes players that don’t do it or that have bad luck. What feels bad is never having a clear end date on getting the gear you need. Never being able to go to a vendor for completing Mythics or Raiding and being excited you can get that item you really wanted.

Sorry Modern WoW isn’t comparable to the old game. It’s a parasitic system built on parasitic systems that is designed poorly to fill time-played metrics. Filled with endless chores that people don’t want to do.

Remove the chores and hamster wheel and give us a beautiful journey again. Also please focus on actual content instead of Daily’s. You know there was a time when Daily’s you could do was limited because…you know there was actual content in the game.

  1. Shadowlands is lacking in content. Obviously.
  2. Systems do not make an expansion good. Obviously.
  3. “M+ is not content”. This is blatantly incorrect.
  4. Chores aren’t fun. Obviously.

You’re repeatedly bumping your thread to both state the obvious and offer bad, incorrect takes.

This trolling or?

Every patch is so predictable these days. Mythic content being leaned on is getting tiresome

Unfortunately you speak the truth. Predictable is hardly a journey or fun.

The activity of M+ was ok when it was first introduced. It’s just not interesting or fun years latter. It’s extremely stale, boring and toxic in it’s current state. So when you start focusing the game around old, stale, boring, toxic activity and put weekly chores there for you. The game runs into major problems.

This game is so much more than the mini game of M+ and always will be. MMO players aren’t interested in an instance simulator. If the best the Devs got is M+ and they think that is content…well this game is doomed.

What grinds my gears is releasing these unfished, unthought of designs and systems. Making them terrible on purpose then after players waste their time or quit because of how bad it is. They fix it half way. Not even all the way. Just half fixed.

Look at Corruption they added a vendor but put it on rotation
Look at Conduit energy
Look at Soultwinning now is spec specific…Why!!! just fix it and allow someone to directly upgrade a conduit.
Look at Valor they brought it back but no vendor
Look at the PvP vendors they brought them back but no PvP stat and require rating

Everything is always poorly done then a patch fixes half!! That is incompetent.

So uhh…
PvP Arenas aren’t content
PvP BGs aren’t content
Raids aren’t content
Dungeons aren’t content.
Farming isn’t content
Killing # of [mobs] isn’t content.
Delivery message to [NPC] isn’t content.
Clicking # of [piles] isn’t content.
Etc… etc. etc. isn’t content.

You might consider an entirely different Genre of game.

They are activities. I enjoy the activity of BGs.

They are part of the story, they are content and then you complete them and are finished with that content. Farming raids over and over is an activity.

They are content the first time you see them and then you complete it.

With that said this was all covered in the thread but yes there is a clear difference between content and activities. Especially repeat ones. Hopefully one day “World” of Warcraft can be a wonderful journey again instead of a hamster wheel filled with Chores and Instances.

Never been a fan of time attack mode of existing content being considered ‘content’… which is basically what Mythic+ is.
