M+ does not feel good to a majority of players - Thoughts?

To me it’s not the M+, but it just requires people to play with, and pugs are insufferable. I’m sure the content is a blast in a group of friendly people though.

I miss the only having a hard time timing a Ruby Pools key and planning around Halls of Valor RP. Now the following dungeons feel like straight punishment on every role:

Grim Batol
Necrotic Wake
City of Threads
First boss on Siege shouldn’t fixate you until there are bombs out!

but the fixate happens every time so it’s not a big issue.

Well, now it is week 4. More people should be progressing, and geared and should not see most of what was being presented as a “problem” in week 2. If it is still a big problem, then it is time for Blizz to make some adjustments. People should never be silent about legitimate issues, but in week two, it is far from legit.

The difficulty scaling introduced late in DF and continbuing through to TWW is what screwed it.

The elitists can say what they want, but ever since they changed it, M+ has “felt” terrible.

There was a consistent and approachable “smoothness” to the scaling going from a 4 to a 5, from a 9 to a 10, etc etc that made sense and was a softer progression.

Then they condensed the difficulty from effectively 25 margins of difficulty down to half that.

SO of course it feels bad. Theres a much steeper curve every level you go up. And doing a 7+ atm feels like hitting a brick compared to some of the lower keys.

They need to change it back to how it was to smooth out the progression again. ALso…and this is just my take on it,… but some of the older dungeons they implemented this Xpac (looking at you Grim Batol) its almost like they couldnt mechanically make it more difficult, so they just introduced ridiculous damage throughput by mobs. Those ogre enforcers as an example can bounce a tanks HP like no other.

The fixates that follow are fine because there’s always a bomb to pop. The first one I’m using my limited priest mobility to run around the entire room and if I’m LUCKY I’ll be near the first bombs to pop when the fixate has <2 seconds left.

It only feels good when loots are plenty, which means people dont actually enjoy them but enjoys the loots mythic plus provides

But I don’t think it matters if the first fixate hits a bomb or not.

I would LOVE to see the hard data that proves this. I buy tokens for gear, mounts, and crafting materials. I know other casuals who do the exact same. Now, it MAY be a fact, but before anyone actually considers it as a fact, you need to cite some BNet source that outlines a poll somewhere as to why people buy tokens.

DF S3 didn’t count, the main idea was play more current dungeons than the older ones.

Excellent question, and a point I make often. Just more proof that Delves are an end game pillar, and a successful one at that. The reason for the success varies, but not enough to keep them out of 12.02 and beyond.

I think people simply forget season 1 is typically the hardest.

Especially after coming from a fated season 4 which is typically the easiest.

The question becomes, should that change?

In my opinion, it could use slight tuning but nothing drastic or dramatic.

You constantly post these silly assumptions about the game without providing a shred of evidence. Please, go touch some grass already.

I could say the same things about you. It bothers you that other people aren’t willing to accept that some sort of elitist privilege makes you a superior human being to the unwashed masses you wish would get out of your game. I suggest you go out, touch grass, and talk with normal people. You know, the kind who don’t think videogames will promote them to godhood.

True, but I feel like it would still be worth getting the gear in the Delves, and then running the zeros to push my rating. Otherwise yer getting geared in Delves and then the elitists don’t want you cause you have no raiting. I mean, if I am over geared anyway, I might as well smash my rating in M0 and give myself a break from Delves. People seem to be all or nothing and treat certain content like a waste of time.

People who love Mythics understand one fundamental truth: In order to get the best gear in the game, you need to run top keys; but without a good rating, you need to run top keys with your guild. Sadly, M+ is a very rigid and linear path to gear that comes with as many cons as it has pros. The only reason M+ Cons feel heavier now is because of Delves. Everyone has been saying the same thing “DF S3 was amazing!” S3 in DF felt like the best ever!". Yep, and then Delves appeared and gave casuals their own style of Mythics with pros and cons, the cons being most players are facerolls and chainpulls, and T8 plus Delves are not that content save for one or two dungeon heroes with self heals and OP classes. It’s just the price to pay for M+.

Was fun for players, but not for Blizz. Once everyone is geared up, no need to stay subbed. So they bounce and take a break til the new season starts. That one likely flew under the radar but was INSTANTLY corrected to prevent anything similar. Just how they do things.

Just to you Meow, stop exaggerating. Why don’t you tell everyone how you sit in trade all day complaining about the game. You’re infamous on our server.

You don’t need 20 levels of difficulty for dungeons. Jesus this community some times!!! Half the keys under the old system barely felt different.

I’m far from elitist lol, I just don’t make silly claims that people don’t raid in a MMO that built a huge player base because of it’s raiding content.

The way you describe it sounds like a really smooth difficulty curve.
