They’re not oblivious to the feedback. But if the feedback doesn’t exactly align with what they believe their illustrious changes can bring it gets ignored. Until it can’t be ignored because people stop doing the content.
I think it has more to do with lack of QA, honestly. Its really important to get the message to the right people and often that breaks down in large organizations.
Lower levels could get some adjustments and I’m not sure what I would do there but what they’ve done overall for me has been pretty fun for what I personally look for in that type of content. Great vault could use some adjustments too in term of quantity of weekly dungeons.
I agree with this statement.
Shame that Blizz seems to think otherwise, or at least fail to recognize that players are doing stuff for the more efficient rewards rather than them enjoying the content itself.
Or maybe they do, but are to afraid to take away the reward structure that has been bloating the system’s popularity beyond sustainability?
I’ll give it one thing, it’s surprisingly resilient for something that should’ve collapsed ages ago.
I think they thought this change through quite a bit. I think what you are seeing in-game was the intent of the changes.
The devs are trying to shift the game away from M+ being the primary end game activity of end game players. For far too long, the reward vs time investment vs difficulty just didn’t match up to that of raiding. Plus, I don’t think M+ keeps people subbed that long. A lot the guilds I was in, people just stop running M+ after a few weeks.
You pretty much said why it is still around.
Imo, the first season is always harder because you’re not rolling into m+ with last season’s gear and people seem to forget that.
We also had a very generous season last season and this season is not. Which makes people less happy about the season but that doesn’t mean it’s wasn’t a good change.
Then go raid or do delves? Why are you pretending you don’t have other pillars if you’re not happy with the one you’re currently doing?
As someone without a ton of Mythic+ this season (though have done it in the past):
- I don’t want to run dungeons that drop loot 10-11 ilvls lower than I am to build rating.
- I don’t want to spend 20-30 minutes getting rejected from dozens of groups because I’m not one of the meta classes and my rating is low.
- I don’t want to spend 20-30 minutes forming my own group and waiting for a tank and healer.
So yeah, Mythic+ isn’t content for me this season.
It was easier when more people were doing it - but since the change that basically made Mythic 0 = Mythic 10 from previous seasons and the fact T8 Delves exist, why put yourself through it?
I don’t blame some of them since it’s got to be jarring for someone not experienced in M+ to jump from smashing T8 Delves to M5’s.
They are equal as far as rewards but M+ is much harder. I have to assume Blizz will try and adjust the difficulty and prog of Delves in coming Seasons to make the transition smoother.
I did not interject my own thoughts anywhere when I made this post by choice, where did you read that I don’t like M+? I think it doesn’t feel great outisde of having a group to run with but I actually enjoy it, especially with a really good team.
Which is unfortunate on one hand because it means this season is basically already dead.
Like a man in a race, only he tripped out of the gate, died, and is now sliding down the course’s gentle incline toward the next runner who will have to pry the baton out of his rigor mortis grip.
Increase tank self-healing.
Turn 1-shots into high-potency DOTs so you can play reactively instead of proactively.
Have timed +12s drop 1/6 myth track gear.
M+ has no rewards unless you can do a 10. Combine that with requiring too many stuns, interrupts, unavoidable damage, constant moving for casters, a timer penalty for deaths, both fort and tyrannical on a 10 key, bugs bricking keys, this weeks affix, etc. I don’t see any need to do dungeons at all.
At some point you’ll run out of ways to prog your toon unless you run 9’s and 10’s or kill Mythic Raid Bosses (if that’s what you care about).
forums are generally negative honestly
I just trust my own opinion
OP, did you make this same thread on the WoW sub Reddit today?
Raiding, serious raiding, has always been a minority activity.
It was very surprising to see numbers so high at the time!
According to who? Your takes on the game are some of the most misinformed nonsense I have ever read.
In Wrath, everyone raided, like everyone!!! It wasn’t until Cata that raid participation got funky, mainly due to them making raiding a lot tougher.
LFR is the most popular end game activity in the game based on the achievements from DataforAzeroth.
Get your head out of the sand.
I think they need to reduce incoming damage quite a bit and also increase mob/boss health.
Make it less about trying to dodge one shots and more about doing enough damage to time the key.
