He is “bipolar” to an extent. The game is on a pendulum, every single patch alternates between M+ friendly and not for the most part. Every other patch raids have absolutely absurd loot. 10.0 was fine, and now in 10.1 we’re seeing gavel type stuff. Same as what happened last expansion. It’s just the cycle of things it seems like, Blizzard placating one group or the other at a time.
Blizzard even sees like they’re trying a new model where the pendulum swings faster than simply on a seasonal basis. We’re getting a new mega-dungeon in 10.1.5 with cracked trinkets upgradable to 441 from the look of it which will be very appealing to M+ players to placate us after they just released a bunch of OP mandatory raid stuff. It’s just the nature of things at this point.
No. He’s fine. I kinda like him and the way he explains his thought process. It’s the player base that is bipolar.
Yes. Group A is happy, they don’t post. They are busy playing. Group B is not happy and complains. Blizzard listens and fixes something for Group B. Group A hates the change and comes to complain. Blizzard listens and fixes something else. But that makes Group B and C mad. And round and round we go.
In a dream world Vault is given the axe and we get loot locks and unlimited attempts on keys for Mythic Mythic Plus (M20+ keys as well as new mechanics). I don’t think they’ll get rid of Vault though.
Can we just accept WoW isn’t this hyper-balanced, hyper competitive thing, specially under Mythic difficulties.
Yes if someone spends more time gearing up their character, said character will be stronger. That’s literally by design.
If all you want is raid log then you prolly won’t progress as fast through it, same with M+ players who refuses to raid. Both systems are complementary.
Besides your example are fairly disingenuous, i’m sorry but if a team of players is struggling in Normal or even Heroic Aberrus, they aren’t likely to just steamroll their way through high keys as M+ is more demanding on a personal skill level than these levels of raiding. People aren’t strolling through 20s right now. Heck even late last season i’ve seen many, many leaderboard Mythic Raiders fail at that key level.
The game just isn’t a raiding simulator and every figures of data prove that this was a popular change. People largely like M+ so if you want Blizz to revert back to being a raiding simulator i really doubt you’ll get what you want based entirely on what’s profitable for them (which is basically the only thing that matters).
Okay like… stop just blindly appeasing players who are upset and have some sort of vision for the game.
Although I disagree with that take, I’m quite sure it’s intentional they go through this approach so no group of players is upset for long enough to get burnt out and quit.
I 100% wish they would. But I also believe that Legion was their vision. And instead of moving forward and refining it they gave up and just try to placate.
I mean, your character shows why M+ is OP. Even ignoring M+ items you got, you can attribute the fact that all of your raid items are 441 to M+, and that your crafted items are 447 and not 437.
In less time? I think not. Do you actually do M+ because I don’t know how you possibly think what, 10 M+ runs, is faster than blasting through heroic one-shotting every boss.
Over a period of one night, with an organized group, sure. But then how are you going to power up over the rest of the week? You can’t do heroic again…
