90% of the difficultly (mathematically impossible bosses aside) in vanilla was that we were collectively bad and had no idea what we were doing.
we’ve got 15 years of experience now.
if they were to get rid of mythic raiding and go back to normal and heroic, a chunk of us would clear the raid in a couple weeks then… what, 1 night farm for 8 months?
no thanks. I prefer to have content that takes longer to progress on.
To be honest, whilst I love a lot of what classic has to offer, content difficulty isn’t up there at the top. You quite simply cannot equate difficulty in classic to difficulty in mythic raiding or high level M+.
Removing those options would simply be a loss to the current game.
At best an argument could be made to slide each difficulty down whilst maintaining difficulty so heroic would be like current mythic, normal like current heroic etc. That is how it used to be. But removing difficulty tiers entirely from the top end? Yeah nah, sorry friend.
Yes. I’m tired of repeating myself. People sucked at the game back then and Blizzard sucked at designing it.
That’s why a boss that was little more than a DPS check with a “don’t stand in the raid with an AoE on you” gained infamy as a guild-breaker.
LFR isn’t hard just because people don’t understand how N’zoth works.
OP is the one arguing that Classic is challenging. By today’s standards, it’s an absolute joke and if you can get your entire raid in the portal before everyone else can, you stand a real shot at claiming world first when a “new” raid drops.
Classic was hard because add ons were less advanced, voice was less prevalent and lower quality, Youtube didn’t exist, and most importantly, raids required the recruitment and coordination of 40 people instead of just 20, all from one server without the possibility of cross realm recruitment.
I’m no better a player than I was then, and I’m closer to cutting edge content now than I was then. At most the best guilds are better now because of the broader recruitment net.
The Geddon bomb wiped the raid if 1 out of 40 players failed the mechanic. Now, you can have 1 out of 20 players fail, say, Skitra Psyche, and good healers can still save it.
that’s the issue with alot of you people… and specifically you. you feel the need to stoop to insults to make yourself feel superior instead of just having civil discussions about a game we all love.
