What lvl gear do you think we will get for the 70 boost after sason 4 is released? The 421 will nolonger be “raid ready”.
That’s a solid question. They’ll either have to remove that line from the services description or bump the gear up into the 460ish range (guessing here)
The fact they have “SOLD” Pre orders for the new release that come with the level 70 Boost as “Raid Ready”, I would think they must upgrade the gear. How many bought the expiation early for the boost for the new expansion to have that toon geared for new content?
To be fair, the level 70 boost with the pre-order doesn’t specify “raid ready,” it just says “upgraded gear.” The standalone boost is the one that specifies “raid ready.” But they both are referred to as “Enhanced Boosts” so I’m sure they’ll treat them both the same way.
To Be Fair, They do say Raid Ready.

To be fair, they’re not really “raid-ready” anyways.
I’m sure it’ll just get upgraded to the lfr minimum, like it was this tier.
Either way you’ll be replacing gear immediately, it’s only valuable because it allows the boosted toon to queue lfr.
As I pointed out in my post, thats the stand alone boost and not the pre-order boost
I literally posted the pre-order product description which doesn’t specify
They are LFR ready.
So your premise being that they have 2 different “Enhanced Level 70 Character Boosts”?
It’s funny any of you think they’re going to increase the item level of the boost gear for Season 4.
The boost has been 424. I’m going to be watching to see if it continues to be 424 yet they continue to promote it as “raid ready”.
The minimum ilvl required to queue for LFR will rise above 424. Don’t you think at that point, if they decide not to raise the ilvl of the boost gear, that they should stop claiming it is “raid ready”?
Well it won’t matter because lfr won’t be included for awakened achievement for the mount
More reason why the ilvl needs to be increased to stay relevant for these boosts. The whole point is to jump in and play with friends ready to go without a bunch of fuss, pomp, and circumstance.
I think it’s easier for them to remove “raid-ready” from the description than to increase the item levels, yes. They were quick to remove that “extra character slots” thing from the MoP: Remix announcement.
One problem I can see is that these boosts will not always be “raid ready,” so they have to be careful with the way they market them.
For example, you can save the pre-order boost, so will your character be “raid ready” if you use it in TWW?..No.
They can however promise you “enhanced gear” (which is what the pre-order says) which is vague enough that it will remain correct regardless of when you use it.
And that’s why this would also be my guess…
If they do increase it to an equivalent level for Season 4, it would be 463 ilvl.
It’s been awhile but if i recall correctly the old boosts on your account don’t upgrade when there is a level increase. I assume we’re having a level increase with WW. So no one is going to expect a level boost to level 70 and raid ready when the level cap is 75 for example (I don’t know what the new cap is going to be).
That said if your advertising a raid-ready boost right now to 70 with 70 the level cap. You fully expect that to mean your ready to step foot into the current raids available. We won’t know until Next Tuesday if that is the case.
I don’t think they’ll increase it.
I don’t imagine it’ll be too difficult to increase one’s item level from 424 to whatever is needed for LFR.
421 was never raid-ready LOL. If I ever was to form a raid and saw someone apply and there gear was the “raid ready” booster stuff, they would be ignored.
are we actually pre-karen’ing in here?
