Do a /who 58 and notice all the players inside Mara and ZF etc. Rogues and mages with random generator names and no guild…
Tonns of them.
These players get instant gold making off thr bat with minimal player interaction and low chance of being reported.
Uh oh blizz you created a monster.

They should just keep doing ban waves, every ban wave is like thousands of dollars in blizz pockets each time.

The players themslves dont care because they are seperate accounts to their main account. Banned? All g i already made 50k gold before the banwave hit and ill do it again

Next will be the WoW token and their excuse will be to remedy the bot issue. We all know how well that worked on retail…
I have a better solution. Do what Blizzard did back in the day to botters. Bottling = permanent ban. Now that’s a CLASSIC experience. I believe they switched to 6 month bans in WoD (it may have been earlier).

Bots are new and have only existed as long as the 58 Boost.
Classic had no botting or gold selling.

Why would Blizzard ever care about Bots when they get paid 40 bux a pop?
We know it did. But the 58 boosts are even better for thrm. Small investment to go straight into old dungeons and farm away with minimal player interaction.
No lvling required and csn do it on freshly made account seperate from main account. If they have the money they can do it easily
Ok who cares? The difference at 70 is so different when it comes to things you can solo farm and the price of goods, these bots are pretty much farming peacebloom and earthroot right now in comparison, and soloing RFC.

Idk…
Maybe its the principle. Why should they get gold for no effort while actual gold farmers haveto slave away
Oh you mean like “Dual Spec fixes everything” threads? I think they’re neck and neck right now.

Blizzard won’t ban bots because it makes them more money.
That’s as simple and terrible as it gets. The ugly truth. Really kills the game.
How hard would it be to ban them? So incredibly easy. That’s why you can assume they choose not to. Then think about motive.
Well to be fair, the “Bots Boosting”, “Dual-Spec”, “LFG Tool” and “Boosts ruined the game” are all neck to neck rounding the third turn, it’s anyone’s race, but my money is on more 58 boost bashing threads, it has been the champ 6 months in a row.

What’s really sad is the original owners of those accounts have no idea that they are stolen and being used to bot with.
I whisper the mages with nonsense names random facts about things. Only gotten ignored by two of them. Maybe I will reach one of them and touch their heart. Who knows - maybe that mage named “Zxdf” will feel special - or that mage named “Jrpq” will know that there are other things out there for them. It might even be possible that the mage named “Kfzb” will try to enroll in a community event where they live. It is not even absurd for me to wish the mage “Mqpr” may pick up a new/used book and get cozy with it.
Who knows?

Because they already paid. Ban the bot and they have to buy a new one if they want.
Doesn’t seem that bad tbh
Its bad enough and cheating.
These ppl arent even playing and making 50-100g prr hour. 1k+ per day without even playing while they play their main account
