Lvl 5 Orc Bot fishers in Ramkahen

Blizzard. When are you actually going to do something meaningful about these incessant botters fishing in Uldum? I’ve reported them multiple times each time I see them. Look into the GodHand guild on Mankrik. Every single time I head to Ramkahen to fish, there’s multiple botters down here. I do my best to fly in front of them to disrupt their fishing, but it’s a bot! I’m only a human. They’re raking in the elemental water and the Lavascale Catfish and jacking up the AH prices.

Community, please help by reporting the botters. What else can we do?

Probably just Blizzard staff botting and selling gold as a side hustle. Blizzard loves bots.

What makes you think their bots? Could just be a level 5 character they have.

Bots usually cause prices to crash from oversupply, not raise.

Making the death walk to get there is kind of impressive too.

For the purists who complain retail got bad from new lands, and ignoring old lands…this would be why.

Stick the new fish, rocks, and flowers in lands level 5’s can’t get to them. Put stuff in old world, some will take a level 5 on a walk to it.

Or phase it. This place got real interesting in BFA, as a proper level cap. With okay gear.

I can absolutely tell it is a bot. I stand in front of them to interrupt the casting or hover over the bobber and it just keeps re-casting until lands in open water. The toon never moves, no matter what. Just keeps casting and clicking. The names of each of the toons are all similar. Same 3-letter prefixes with random gen letters for suffix. They are all Lvl5 Orcs, stripped of gear, just fishing pole. When I shard/phase in when there are 10+, they are all casting at same/similar times. There’s no doubt these are all being controlled by the same bot orchestration app.

I do suppose you’re right about the over-supply would cause prices to drop, especially since TSM/Auctionator fixing the undercutting after the AH revamp. Demand is still high for the Catfish though, especially since they cannot be caught from pools and are needed for Seafood Magnifique Feasts. TBH, I don’t know what the angle is and that’s sort of what bugs me about this.

No matter which way you look at it, it is cheating and unfair advantage.

To my surprise, Ramkahen, or at least my phase/shard of it, is free of the Lvl5 bot fishers tonight.
