Today’s mini-event, which is absolutely vital for this month’s Trading Post, is NOT working! And since this event is today only, and the average wait time for a GM ticket is measurable in days, I have no choice but to post this complaint here.
I have already checked Wowhead for info on this event, including the bug I am having – that of not being able to interact with the vendor. I have already logged out and back in, and I still have this problem. I have been swimming out of the area and back in, to try to toggle the ability of interaction, and now the vendor (and his buddy) are completelygone! (I can target the vendor; I can set my focus on the vendor; but I can not see the vendor, nor can I use my “interact with” key-bind on the vendor.)
Furthermore, I am not the only player having these problems! We need for someone to fix these problems TODAY, if we are to have a proper chance of getting the associated Trading Post activities…
Post in Bug Report. QA doesn’t take bug reports from the Customer Support forum. This forum is a player-helping-player forum with Blizzard oversight and moderation. The SFAs here are not liaisons with QA or the Devs.
I have now spent over an hour doing nothing but trying various options of getting this NPC to interact with me.
There are numerous quests I could be doing instead, right now. I could be making additional progress at Zereth Mortis or at the Dragon Isles, for instance.
But, since this event is one-day only, I am instead forced to stay here, and continue beating my head against the wall, trying to get this NPC vendor to interact with me, so that I can get these 400 points of progress on this month’s Trading Post activities…
I’d like to know if Blizzard is going to give “complementary” 400 Travel Points (for progress on Trading Post activities for the month) to everyone who gathered the 300 tokens needed for the Trading Post activities for this event.
(Three separate items to be bought, needing no more than 300 event tokens, total, using the refund option once credit has been received for buying each previous item, giving a total of 400 points of progress.)
I am not hopeful that Blizzard will even try to fix this bug today, with enough time for any of us to still buy these items for the clock runs out…
Tried multiple things (Exit, Reload, swim away and then back) and it finally worked when I Logged Out (not Exit) in front of Max Megablast (no helmet on) and then I logged back in and he started the speech bubble like he does when you first arrive there and then I could finally interact with him and buy the dumb jelly jam. I hope that helps someone I just tried a second time and it worked and I got the rest of the items. Sorry about all this… I hope this can help someone.
Side note: he seems to spawn in at different depths, I don’t know why, but the one where he is closest to his submarine is the correct one (hope that makes sense).
Unfortunately for me, every time I leave and return, when he does show up, he is always at the bottom of the ocean. Never above the sea floor, near his submarine…
((And let me just add, that having someone move my thread, without posting some acknowledgement of the problem, is not sitting well with me. Nor is this lack of response from Blizzard, on either this thread or the other one…))
i put in a ticket. I have tried all the options people have posted and still nothing. I want my traveler guide points. I did this quest and its so buggy.
I just tried a second time and it worked and I got the rest of the items. Sorry about all this… I hope this can help someone.
