Well I’m way past my prime in this game and now play very casually at best. No time for PvE so going to focus on PvP solely since I can kinda play at my own pace and schedule.
That being said which class/spec has the lowest skill cap but is also in a decent spot for PvP? By lowest skill cap I don’t mean least need for quick reaction but more so not too many key binds.
Thanks
id prob reccomend something like frost dk possibly?
So you actually want the lowest skill floor then. Something you can hop into and be fairly successful with less effort than some other stuff.
With that said, have a preference on ranged or melee? I feel like frost dk has a fairly simple mechanic and is fairly strong now.
Yeah I agree, typically frost DK is pretty easy to pick up and learn the rotation.
You won’t have to worry about utilizing your pet, and there’s not a ton of utility otherwise besides grips/stuns/AMZ and I’m not even sure which of those frost still has. Haven’t touched my dk this xpac.
Thanks. I was actually going to play Dk as my horde toon.

I’d tend to agree with the above posts, but I’d also like to give a fair warning:
In rbg’s and open world frost dk is a low skill cap class, but it isn’t a very successful one atm on its own. In arenas, it actually feels harder to play successfully because it has so many glaring weaknesses. It plays more like a setup class than a dmg bot, and allows for more powerful specs like ww, warrior, dh, etc. to go ham. It has weak defensives that are heavily affected by ms and dampening, and many times you have to kite to survive. It is heavily affected by most cc in the game. Silence, grapple, hard cc, etc. all shut you down as you only have a 12 second window to do damage yourself outside chill streak, and your damage is some of the worst currently outside of cooldowns.
Chill streak CAN be super crazy, but most the time it will not be. Every class has some way to survive it. Pets and defensives can completely shut off the damage as well.
Right now, frost dk is extremely easy to predict, control, and also blast through. That said to succeed on one takes a lot more effort than the other classes, and while frost dk has a lot of tools, they are pretty weak.
Making use of that tiny 12 second window can also be difficult. You can’t just spam obliterate. You have to weave in frost strike / howling blast, which can be difficult to put in pressure when you are confined to such a short window and have so much damage incoming on yourself.
That isn’t to say frost dk can not be successful. It does a good job of exploiting other classes and allowing classes like monk and warrior to pop off. It’s more that they are so powerful, with your help they can carry the comp.

Frost DK is easy.
It doesn’t do enough damage to bear the responsibility of killing anything, and most if not all of its value is relegated to spamming Chains of Ice to enhance a WW or Arms warriors uptime while simutaineously peeling for your healer.
Pretty easy job.
Only thing you have to look out for is getting hard swapped onto and insta-deleted.
