I see a bunch of level 10 and 12’s running around on an Elekk mount (or something of the sort)- is this the mount you get when you order the deluxe edition? How do you get the mount?
I think its apart of a quest my guy.

Ah okay- I’m still only level 8 so hadn’t gotten there yet. I was a little jealous and wanted a mount too

It’s a timed quest to go warn 3 different NPC people in the different camps.
You have 15 minutes to complete it and you get to ride an epic speed mount to do it.

I recall seeing players on this mount back when Burning Crusade first came out and was wondering how they got a mount at a low level too.
Anywho, You’re going to love the quest once you get to it. It’s pretty fun to do. I personally enjoyed it when I worked on it.

No, it is a timed quest from Bloodmyst Isle. I remember seeing them myself back in '07 and getting SUPER excited because Draenei got mounts at level 10! What a disappointment it was to discover that it was just a quest & we have to give the mount back at the end LOL!
It does give you a preview of the Draenei racial mount though - Elekks are what they get.
I thought it was something about Kessel’s Run? I know you get the Elekk & the quest from Kessel lol. (And yes, it IS an Easter Egg!)

You’re probably right. I was going off of memory and a cursory wowhead search.

Well I know in the retail version you can get the bike mount and drive that around at low levels, but wasn’t sure which expansion that came with or if there was something similar for TBC.
I’ll end up picking up the quest tonight or this weekend. Can’t wait!
I said I’d come back and here I am! The quest is called “The Kessel Run” and it was as much fun to do that quest again as it was to see people asking how a level 13 was on a mount in LFG!
That’s on Kezan when you create a goblin. It was part of Cata.
Its also the reward for an achievement for buying some amount of looms.
And sine about mounts a side note deluxe carries over to other chars on account. Way I read it I though it was the boosted who got it.
My non boosted BE got the mount and toys today on a UC visit. I guess the npc in silvermoon I missed.
So I guess I missread the item terms. This time…a good thing lol. SO the BE saves some gold there.
Still has level 30 need, but that won’t keep away the rabble rabble crowd probably.
I had to walk 30 miles uphill in the snow with no shoes bit.
Another goes a hill? Try a mountain. with mountain lions.
A third goes you had lions? How we dreamed of lions…they are easy.
Oh THAT bike! I forgot about that, especially since we don’t actually “ride” it, we’re the passenger & we’re being chauffered. That came after achieves though, so… WoD?
