Low honor is making people quit

let them cry whine let em quit
thye wont be missed

Honestly this is my opinion as well. I couldn’t really care that the honor gain is slow, the fact that trying to enter a single battleground handcuffs you for an entire night is my real regret.

Unfortunately, unless Blizzard turns around and says it’s a bg server allocation issue we can only assume it’s population driven. However, of note, OCE bgs for Horde have 30 min+ queue times despite Alliance having equivalent if not higher population and that is to get into a full OCE bg.

So maybe they only have a limited number of servers allocated to run battleground instances and it needs to be increased. :man_shrugging:

The old wow was diffrent was fun the new devs made it grind grind grind and its not fun

It’s also not that bad depending on the time of day in NA.

Middle of the day during the week? Yeah, it’s 1+hr long queues.

Right now 9:51 ET on a thursday?
34 min queues for WSG, AV, AB

not that bad

Good horde babies quit and pvp realms start to get balanced again

I dunno, 34 mins during peak times is pretty bad to be honest.

A) you appear to be Horde anyway
B) it really doesn’t fix it, it more than likely just sends said Horde to wPvP to get their honor, which mainly will constitute ganking and harassment.

When enough horde quit then their queue times will go down. Sounds like a win/win.

Seems I may have been right.

You realize that was unintended and a bug, right? Again, the mistake was leaving the bug in to begin with.

How is it a Blizzard issue? Should they do something they haven’t ever done in the history of the game and force players to play a specific faction? Well that would sure go over well! Blizzard can’t force players to play a faction they don’t want to play. I mean, look at you. You refuse to play the other faction to help the faction balance issue and just instad complain about having to put some time into getting a set of armor (that should take time to get) and complaining about queues and faction imbalances.

What do you suggest Blizzard does to fix the issue of TBC being heavily horde? I play horde and alliance both by the way.

I love how the concept of the game Horde V Alliance has fully been taken in to real life hate for each other lmao

When were horde queues less than 30 minutes in classic?

When were the Horde queues not a problem in classic as well?

I don’t recall ever saying “it’s worse now”. I quit Classic after realising the queues were 30-45 mins+ for a 5 minute game of Alliance sprinting to Drek.

I’m saying it’s no better, and that 30 minutes isn’t a good queue.

Short of blizzard forcing alliance to log on and play in BGs there’s nothing they can do about that.

Boggles my mind how people aren’t seeing the connection between honor rates being so bad and thus leading to increased queue times for Horde. After playing a few BGs, people do the math and realize how long it’ll take to farm a starter set of gear and they get so disincentivized after the realization that they stop queueing. When there are already fewer Alliance players queueing, having more leave due to this problem is just making the problem that much worse.

During the first few generations of ranking in Classic, rankers queueing made Horde queue times shoot up like crazy. Once that died down and there were only late generation rankers but mostly people playing for fun, queues normalized and were much more manageable. If honor rates were better, people could farm their gear out and the FOTM players only doing it for the gear would weed out and queues would normalize again.

Also to anyone saying anything along the lines of “good let them quit, they won’t be missed” it hurts everyone for players to quit. Having a larger pool of players queueing helps more than hurting, especially on the Alliance side.

I’m not entirely sure that is all the problem, OCE has a higher Alliance population along with OCE seperated queues yet still have just as bad queue times.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was also a limited instance server capacity also at play causing delays. Although important to take into consideration that it’s less than a month from release still so not everyone is at max level.

Horde stop being such whiny babies.

So much for the “dominant faction”, you whimps can’t even handle having to grind for a little bit of gear it’s actually pathetic I HOPE people like you quit OP because trash boosted tourist idiots like you that just want everything handed to them for playing should quit.

99% of players wont have anything close to bis pvp gear during first week arena, hell, the majority of players won’t have full bis for along time, this “I NEED MY FULL BIS FOR WEEK 1 ARENA OR I QUIT REEEEE” mindset is PATHETIC, we all had the exact same amount of time to gear up.

Season 1 Arena will most likely last 6 months+, iirc S2 doesn’t start until p3 which is a long time.

There is no rush, there is no reason you should feel left behind or that you need full PvP gear right away, and the most important part, IF YOU WERE A GOOD PLAYER, YOU WOULDN’T CARE REGARDLESS, a few honor pieces isn’t going to make or break you or be a huge factor as to why you won/lost games.

There is also loads of insane gear from dungeons/raids that will be amazing in Arena, so really anyone complaining that honor needs to be buffed is actually just a lazy bum who doesn’t want to play the game, you do intent on doing more than standing next an NPC and queuing battlegrounds, right???

Also as an Alliance player I kind of wish queues were a bit longer, would love to be able to do some gathering or random things in between bg queues, you zugs just need to actually chill and stop being such pvp brained dumbs

measly 100? try 20… and thats on a lose.
tbh, you would see more ally in AV atleast if horde let them get a few towers or galv or something and horde just zugged north and won, would be a mutual benefit for both factions and people would be in AV atleast more often, and both would get better honor then the other 3 bgs.

in phase 4 till end of classic average horde queue was 5-12 minutes max for every bg including alterac valley which had the longest always

TBC pvp is terrible overall.

Id suggest changing your view on the ‘meta’ of grinding them for that t4 t5 bis…

A vast majority of you never played them to have fun, but for the gear, and Blizzard gave you the system you deserve.

Tldr; dont bother with pvp, youll be fine like a lot of us.

I actually agree with the OP. After about 40 AV’s I have 18k honor. Playing ~40 BGs for a piece of “okay” blue gear is pretty steep. The fact that the Horde have to wait for ridiculous amounts of time to farm their honor isn’t good either. I agree that each side of the player base could benefit from some changes to the system. We shouldn’t be able to gear instantly, but this is still extremely grindy for the base set.

INB4 “go pve” I’d like to pvp this expac thx.

So people have to wait until the expansion is essentially over before battlegrounds become reasonably playable?

That honestly makes it even more likely that as I suggested there is an issue with limitations on battleground instance server more than population, as what you suggest is that after a significant number of the player base quit (both factions), the queues became much better.
