Low FPS in the new raid but low GPU usage?

This thing struggled in Shadowlands, and was out of my idea of ‘playable’ by Aberrus. Replaced it as soon as I could afford to. There’s really no making it work in raids, especially over 20 people.

Same here! Was just about to post a topic.
I have rtx 3060ti
AMD ryzen 5 5600X 6-core
16gb RAM

I drop to 40-50fps in boss fights in raids and dungeons.

I had to drop from Raid tonight because I would drop down to 2fp and freeze for 10 or more seconds, I gave up when I got kicked from the game.
Intel core I5 (12gen)
nvidia gtx 3080
16g ram .
Everything else works great, raid is unplayable. I have turned my raid graphics to 1 and still bad, deleted half my addons, made sure my ui scale was 100% vertical sync on. etc.

Doing raid splits this week was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in this game. I would routinely drop to 3-5 FPS during lust and then 10-20fps for the rest of the fight.

I have an older GPU (1080) but I didn’t anticipate any problems considering I had 100+ FPS running max settings in the main city hub with hundreds of people around. Literally 3-5fps on 1 setting during the raid this week. Unreal.

Happened to me too. DID LFR right before Heroic raid and was at 90+ FPS. During Heroic It was unbearable, went between 15-30 FPS and the worst was 5.

Now, since it happened I run EVERYWHERE at 30-40 FPS, mind you in the open world before the new raid I was at 90-120 FPS.

I checked my task manager and CPU/GPU are at a normal usage, but my RAM is at 7-8GB for wow. I even tried without addons and its the same situation.

9900k & 2080ti. same issue. raids are 20~fps. graphic settings make minimal impact. no fps issues during dungeons or world zones. 90-120+ during dragonflight raids.

This is my same experience, with a 4070ti. I think it’s either a specific addon causing it, or a bug with the game. I have a small recollection of a new ability in dragonflight (either in aberrus or amirdrassil) causing a very similar issue. It could be something similar like a hero talent.

Unless you are renaming your add ons or folders and the cache and then restarting then you won’t get an accurate outcome. Simply disabling still keeps them in memory still.

I’m aware. That’s one of the first things I did.

+1 raid super slowdown in fps. goes from ~130’s in open world to ~30’s low during raid encounters. will try on another computer tonight, but I experienced it with a 5950X and 6900XT combo.

Seems to be a memory issue that needs fixing.

I run a 4.2 OC cpu and a 3060 12gb

Just chiming in to report that myself and almost everyone in my raid team are suffering from the same issues

Ryzen 5950x, 3080ti, and 128gb ram, and I go from being locked at 144fps to 20s during dungeons and raid fights. Disabled addons, set my graphics settings to the 1 preset, no dice. I can go from the 10 preset to the 1 preset and it literally makes no difference in my framerate.

Ok so I’ve had an opportunity to go into the new raid several times. Buttery smooth (>120FPS on max settings if I turn the refresh rate on my monitor that high). I usually keep my monitor at 60 because that’s good enough for this game to look smooth. There are no performance problems anywhere. The only place during this expansion where I encountered a performance issue is a very specific spot during the Dalaran intro next to Khadgar (that is really weird, CPU/GPU both shoot up to 100% there, but it’s just that one small spot and if you walk 10 feet away the problem goes away).

If people are experiencing FPS loss only in the raid, it’s a problem on their system and almost certainly addon related. I would particularly look for addons that parse the combat log like Details. I do not run any DPS meter type addons anymore. It’s shocking how so many people just click “load outdated addons” without any testing and then complain when things don’t work.

No. I disabled all of my addons, went in barebones, and still suffered 20 FPS in fights. Didn’t matter what my graphics settings were. There’s a lot of things that can go on and just because “it works on my system” doesn’t mean there’s no problem.

I raided all through Dragonflight with zero issues on this computer.

Just disabling addons does not clear potential UI issues they caused. Try doing a complete UI reset (you can rename folders rather than deleting them if you want to preserve settings).

I just ordered a 7800X3D…would hope that fixes things or at least overpowers that bad optimization.

my question is … Pro raiders… also have this problem ? or they just was the best of the best performance CPU and GPU for Warcraft? yesterday i was running at 30 fps! on Raid… from a180 on world and 100 fps in mayor city.
sucks alot!!! >.<!
