I’m glad there’s some changes to Holidays after several years…
However, I don’t see too much gameplay or replayability from these events.
Besides noticing that Heirloom upgrades that cost 450 are almost impossible now:
130 from the intro questline
10 from the daily X 15 = 150
Daily Boss between 5 - 11 = 165 if you hit 11 in 15 boss kills.
You get 445 in a character without using the 10K gold donation…
There’s just a few dailies…
Why Blizzard doesn’t do something like the Super Bloom, The Big Dig…etc for Holidays??
If farming Charms was an issue and they moved away from that, then create a better gameplay like some sort of Crown Chemical Invasion with some bosses in the open world like those events from Dragon Flight areas.
Also, Why don’t involve the Casual PvP? Just enable a PvP brawl that provides Love tokens for participation if you win more love tokens…
At least the decorations and the portal to other zones are great but there’s few gameplay around this holiday updates…

Meanwhile, Mahaja Cloudsong is completely broken for horde, so most of us can’t even unlock the freaking daily, cheating us of an entire day.
Thanks Blizz, GREAT job. /s

I provided feedback on PTR regarding the lack of test, however; Blizzard never test holiday changes with players via PTR…then Surprise…

Everyone knows the PTR is just to generate hype about new content and datamining. Live is the real test server for bug fixing. Just like how any expansion launch is when the beta actually starts.
I had to swap to an alliance character to get the quest done. How annoying. I hope they add a double reward or something when they fix it.
We get fourteen days of the event, not fifteen. So it’s even farther off than what you’ve estimated.
They really just need to go back and rebalance the cost of all the upgrades across these events. It feels very silly when you compare working at an event every day for it’s entire multi-week duration to maybe get one upgrade out of it, or… you go knock out 75-100% of the Dragon Isles gold World Quests up in like half an hour and just buy it outright.
I’m not saying that we need a 100% equivalent time spent per this comparison, but that balance is clearly way off, and just doesn’t make sense. Who are these prices aimed at? Who is going to go out of their way to dedicate that much time to the task when a far, far shorter alternative exists that isn’t event restricted?

IMO, the price could be the same, However; Devs should provide more gameplay…Why they do all these mini events for DF patches that’ll eventually be forgotten?, instead of doing an event that’ll be meaningful each year as part of these holidays.
If there’s different gameplay mechanics to acquire more currency, then just add more cosmetics each year or provide some good 1 use items like runes, exp potion, heirloom upgrades…etc

I have a few things to say about the Love is in the air event.
I know its probably eye roll to have some old fart from New Jersey tell you how to do it better after spending hours detailing every little heart doily across the realms , but I must aver , the whole point in buying a box of chocolates and flower is to gift it to somebody else. I know there must have been some criteria like not clogging up the mail servers that made y’all make the rewards soul bound, but it tore my heart out i could not send the ladies of the Retakers guild chocolates.
Furthermore, I dont get the scenario, I tanked Shadowfang keep and guys ran at me until the quest went" DING "complete and the reward appeared in my bag, but I still don’t understand what the object was.
But all of this ( yes i am starting the sentence with but) gave me a great idea. What about seasonal dungeons? The Greench could be at the end of the Winters Veil dungeon for example and maybe have rewards you can actually wrap and gift to somebody ELSE?
Hope you don’t mind the input.

14 for people that can’t login after reset on the last day, 15 for those that can.
A whole seasonal dungeon instead of a single boss in a reuse zone like the ones that we already have for hallow’s end and love is in the air could be really interesting
checks notes- blizzard game= fail
No, it’s just fourteen. The “fifteenth” day would have to be the 19th, but the event ends at server reset. You only get fourteen attempts.
No, it doesn’t end at server reset. 19 10am PST.
I got 3 hours of attempts before the event goes away every year… I know because I manage to squish some attempts every year.

I always thought these were just filler if you had too many of the event tokens. Wouldn’t it be easier just to buy them with gold?
I think that was the original goal, but now they take participating in +95% of the event to walk away with a single one of the larger tokens. This makes them too much of a time investment to reasonably obtain through the event, and kinda pointless. Might be a bit better if the tokens were BoA, but prices just need adjustment in general.
My bad, I forgot this was one of the odd events that goes off the PST time, even though server times are listed on the calendar.
Since tokens expire at the end of the holiday events, I agree. Then people can get all the cosmetics they want. If someone wants to run 60 alts through to collect heirloom tokens then okay… I can think of better uses of time but…
