Love is in the Air: A Gift for the King of Stormwind

I received a Lovely Charm Collector’s Kit and got 22 charms while out questing. I crafted 2 Lovely Charm Bracelets out of them. One for the King of Stormwind and one for the King of Ironforge. The IF quest worked but the SW quest did not.

The quest turn-in marker is placed at the throne on my map, but Anduin Wrynn is in the room SE of the throne and he has no quest marker, nor dialogue options, so I can’t interact with him.

With the Lovely Charm Bracelet still in my inventory, I abandoned the quest and re-accepted it. No luck. Guess I’m not Wrynn’s type…

I am having this same exact issue.

You most likely have a quest or quests that have phased the Keep and has Anduin in the other room. You’ll need to figure out which quests are causing the phasing and finish those chains first to revert things back to normal.

Same issue and I have no quests in my log other than winter spring mount line and

I’m also having this issue, no pending quests in the area but this one

Apparently, this issue also happened last year. I poked around a bit, and while there was no blue post about it, some players found the source of the problem.

I had to start AND finish the quest ‘A Walk To Remember’ on the broken shore. Anduin now appears in Stormwind again. "

Yeah leader phasing is one of the most complex things in the current game design. Unfortunately, you can be phased just by where you are in the story arc, even if you are not on a specific quest. Which makes it very hard to track down.

If you started the Legionfall stuff in Legion but didn’t finish it, there is a good chance Lyndis’ suggestion will work.

There are other things that might apply at other levels - for example if you are 110 and have upgraded to BfA but have not taken that character to Kul Tiras / Zandalar yet, you may have to run through that and come back before you can turn it in.

The same thing was affecting being able to speak to the leaders in their embassies for the allied race stuff.

The quest chain that starts with “On Whispered Winds” can cause this. Completing that quest chain should fix it.

why don’t they do the same Saurfang phase fix for this? guess it’s because no one at Blizz play tests Alliance

I’m also having the same issue. For people who are by their very careers supposed to be “creative”, they have zero creative problem solving skills. Here’s a thought: He’s a darn KING, of course he has crap to do away from the throne. Why not stick a courtier there to accept them in his stead. We don’t care if you copy paste some random NPC, we don’t care if the guy has a name or cute RP text. Hell, put a rock on the ground. Just let him/it accept the darn quest for turn-in in EVERY possible phase.

There. Solved it for Blizz, but you’ll never see this fix, even though it should be pretty darned simple. Bad design increases their “hours played” for the investors, after all.

I had this issue with the king being phased out. Turns out I had not finished the Night Warrior quest line. https://www.wowhead.com/quest=53847/on-whispered-winds#comments:id=2858059 I had finished on my main but apparently you have to finish it on every toon in order to receive credit. Its also odd that you have to complete this quest line because, other then the lore, its seems its only purpose is to allow you to acquire the new night elf look that Tyrande turns into. Hope this helps, It took me forever to figure out because I thought it had something to do with something I didnt do last xpac.

It’s 2022 and this still is a problem. Please change it to Turalyon.
