Lost SL Flying With Account Transfer

I recently transferred this character between accounts, but my characters Shadowlands flying didn’t carry over. No biggie I thought, I’ll just go redo the Korthia Campaign really quick up to chapter 3 right…? It must have just reset my progress…right? Nope!

Korthia campaign progress remains complete at 9/9 with no quests to pick up whatsoever (and flying is locked behind the item you get after completing the 3rd chapter for those who may not know). Perhaps this is another item they should consider adding to the vendor near the Oribos FP.

TL;DR hoping CS or a GM can mail the item that teaches you flying to my character so I can relearn SL flying. Muchas gracias

Flying is an account-wide unlock that remains tied to account it was learned on when a character transfers.

You’ll have to re-earn the ability to fly on the second account, using another characters since the one you transferred won’t be able to earn the achievements again.

Yeah this isn’t an option. Both characters I transferred have already completed the chapters.

Then you’ll need to level a new character on that account and earn flying that way.

It’s designed so you can’t unlock flying on multiple accounts with the same character, this is working as intended.

Then you will need a new character on that account to complete the requirements. Unfortunately, flying is not something that transfers when you move a character from one Battle.net account to another and this is very much intended.

Yes and no. They wouldn’t be able to send you an item that teaches you flight, but they should be able to verify that you qualify for Shadowlands flight and resolve the issue for that character.

Thank you. I do have a ticket in already under Quests and Achievements. Is there a more appropriate category I should choose?

For the account wide flight to be on the account, yes, you’ll need to complete the achievement on a different character on that account. If the transferring character is the one that earned the flight though, it should retain it during transfer.

We just need to make the account recognize that again, which for now, takes a Game Master to step in.

That’s good to know. I thought the transferring character lost it too, not just that it wasn’t unlocked for other characters on that new account.

I also transferred a monk who has completed 3/9 of the Korthia Campaign (so can’t go back and do it). While the monk character didn’t technically unlock it for the account previously since it was already unlocked by the Warrior, would they be able to do the same thing?

Just so were clear im kinda confused they transfered 2 toons the original one that got it and the DK only the original will be able to fly but untill another toon earns it any other toon wont be able to fly.

No, that should work. I do want to mention that depending on the current response times we have an automatic reply set up for some ticket categories designed to give players resources and self-help options. This is primarily because a lot of tickets in the game, quests and achievement categories fall under game hints or have other options available that do not need a GM to intervene so we try to clear those out of the queue so we can get to the tickets that we can help with.

If you get that response, just reopen your ticket. That goes back into the queue so a GM can get to it.

Appreciate it, thank you!

You need renown 44 and to have completed the quest “The Primus Returns”. From what I can see the last quest you did in that chain is Mawsplaining. If you complete the questline up through The Primus Returns, etc… you should be able to unlock Shadowlands flight on the account.

Correct. The character that earned flight by completing The Primus Returns and hitting renown 44 should retain Shadowlands Flight. The second character would not be able to fly in Shadowlands until they or another character on the account does that.
