I lost 3000g. I have tsm and nova instance tracker to confirm it wasnt from an AH purchase or a trade with another player. I spent about an hour tracking every movement at the time of gold lost and can only see that I was logged onto the character that lost the gold at the time it was lost, no trades or AH purchases. I did however send a mat to another character at this time, but thats it. If I sent the gold, Is there not a way blizzard can tell me where my gold went?
Sure blizzard can tell you where it went will they likly not.
If the gold was sent via mail and is possible it’s a legal transaction and as such they won’t help you so not likly to even get the info of where it went given it’s just wasting gm time as they won’t get your gold back for you and you knowing where it is the player is not likly to return it.
Wa scripts are the main offenders when it comes to auto gold trade or mailing actions. You should never be using a wa not from a trusted source and ideally reading the script before using at least a quick look to see if anything looks out of place such as mentions of gold or mail in a marking weak aura.
If you don’t know basic scripting it is quite worthwhile to learn as you don’t need to know much just how to read the syntax’s to understand what the script is trying to do don’t need to know all the fine stuff.
if you don’t have authenticator on battle net account? then someone hacked your password and advertised that he’s selling 3000g Cheap on 1 of the famous 3rd party sites that act as middle man which will makes your gold gets sold instantly then the hacker will send the 3k gold from your account to the buyer.
that’s common and happens a lot.
you can contact blizzard and they’ll know what happened with the gold but don’t expect anything to return because probably the gold buyer already jumped into 1 of those gdkp’s and right now your 3k gold is shared with +20other players 
so much work for blizzard to even bother fixing this, so they’ll do nothing.
How do you even come up with that? Do you write fanfiction for a living?

I’ve witnessed what i posted, that’s what happens for real and what happened in past years in wow.
i could even post about how people can get hacked but everyone should just use Authentiator.
Look at your mail log and make sure you haven’t sent gold to the wrong person.
