I am just coming back to play after about 10 years off. I can’t remember the server I played on. I know I have seen BLUE posts to help a person find them. I have already opened a ticket and it says its 9 days wait average. The character in question is a blood elf rogue. I had used a scroll of resurrection to play on a friends horde server and am looking to play horde again. I was directed to this forum as possibly a faster option.
One of the fastest ways I can think of is to initiate a transfer, be it server or faction. There should be a drop down menu of all the realms you have characters on the left side of the window, and on the right there will be a drop down menu of all your toons on that realm that have not been deleted. You don’t need to finish the process.
I know that the SFAs (aka blues) here can help but it may be some time before a response if one at all.

When I do a transfer it just shows me the chars on the realm I’m on when I select it.
I have checked all the none “new player” us servers going to try oceanic and possibly other servers myself lol
The server transfer trick works if the account hasn’t been inactive for some period of time but eventually, it doesn’t work if the account has been inactive for a long period of time.
If you are still playing on the account the rogue was on, a blue will likely be able to tell you what server he was on relatively easily.
If, however, the rogue was on a different WoW account, unless you know the old account name, a blue would have to match your name to the account and that may take more time, if it can be done at all.
If the rouge was on a different WoW account, you would need to pay for a character transfer to get him over to your new account.
If a different WoW account was used, open your ticket and addd any additional info you may remember, such as address, email, possible variants of your name, etc… Post the ticket number here for a forum Blue to reference.

Yeah, it was on this account for sure. It’s the only one I have played on. I just read similar posts and the customer support blues were able to tell the person. I guess I wait for them another day. I swear I have checked every server by now though…
EDIT SOLVED
So I figured out how to do it. Your item restoration shows every character you have. My wife suggested I try that and I thought for sure it would be like the character transfer, which I found out the character transfer probably would have worked but I was doing it on a FULL server so it was only showing characters I could remove from that server for free.
