So yeah, Iv’e been playing a lot of lost ark lately and noticed forum CM’s actually communicate really good with the players. Basically there are mods 24/7 who redirect feedback and keep people on track. Even if it means that it won’t happen now or soon they will still give regular updates on progress, so the community knows what is happening. They’re also very responsive to critism and usually redirect feedback and also ask players for feedback (latest honing thread).
So im wondering obviously im still playing wow meanwhile and I love this game and im addicted to it. This is not to flame the devs, blizz or the game itself but I struggle to understand what is holding back blizzard from doing the same?
Showing transparence and communicating with the players/community even if it is just (soon tm) would seem like a big improvement already.
Really strange that this has never happened yet in 15 years +

Lost Ark probably doesn’t have players who only subscribe so they can make a concerted effort to shatter the minds and souls of their CMs.

The wow team has communicated more in shadowlands then the last 6 years before it combined.

I dont think they’re burnt out or anything like that. I have a feeling that they’re trying to win back the players they lost and decided that most of their devs are going to work on 10.0.
They’re listening which is a good thing and this patch has been a good patch and the best we’ve had in a while.
They’re communicating somewhat but it could be better.
Too bad Lost Ark is full of rampant bots(they banned 1 million bots minimum so far), and so badly P2W endgame its miserable for F2P players.

This website has blue posts all the way back to I think BC, in it you’ll find Blues doing exactly what you say here. They don’t anymore for whatever reason and I doubt they will again.
Have you not seen how long an argument can go on the forums? 
Yeah I’d go and take a look at Bluetracker if you think Blizz has never communicated with the playerbase.
They used to talk all the time, they used to roast players 
and explain why they did what they did and their line of thinking on issues but they don’t anymore 
Well, not exactly true, they still do they just don’t hang around here all the time like back in the day.
ha it aint just lost ark that has better communication. square enix also does a far better job at explaining the what and why behind their recent decisions and engages with the community consistently.
granted, let me defend blizzard for a bit.
engaging with the WoW community sounds like a nightmare. it isnt just a funny meme or cliche. we are horrible. it comes from being around for 17 years. we are all disgruntled, angry people who want nothing more than for blizzard to suffer, and because most people have a fetish with seeing titans of the industry fall. and we wear this toxicity like a badge of honor. i wouldnt want to deal with this community for any longer than i have to.

people that play lost ark beg devs to add more skins to the cash shop so they can buy them, when blizzard drop something on the shop like a mount or a skin, people create threads to whine about it, its just an example of the constant whining around here
When you have the same number of players as CMs, it’s easy 
Blizzard has the industry reputation of cultivating an adversarial relationship with their playerbase that has worsened over the years. If the only reason they care about what at least some players think is because they’ve lost millions of players since this expansion started, that’s an improvement of sorts. But players are still leaving. Phil Spencer said he wanted to see more people playing wow, but there’s not going to happen between now and when Microsoft takes over.
Will 10.0 follow the same pattern as Shadowlands?
Do you consider it an unreasonable expectation by wow players that when they buy a transmog on the shop they expect it to stay in their collection, not disappearing regularly and having to pay to re-transmog their gear with it?
I think it is a waste having all these forums all these years and not watching the pulse of the community here. it is a wasted resource even if you think it’s not a good place for any sane person to venture into. true waste and sad in the end for the company and the devs to ignore it.
lost arks communication goes like “yea we know our game is p2w so we will try and help players that dont want to p2w to feel like they have to but we arnt changing our p2w model.”…lol.

The bots are also speed hacking and teleporting npc to npc. And they use easy anti-cheat…if all this sounds familiar, its because classic wow bots can fly hack.
