How can a game start tomorrow and already be out for a few years?
It’s probably leaving early access.
It was only in the Korean and Russian markets.

I’ve preordered the Platnium Pack, I’m excited I’ve waited like 5 years for this game, literally WoW is basically maintenance mode for me, log on do one key, raid then wait to reset.
So Lost Ark is a blessing till next expansion.

I’d like to clarify some things here.
Lost Ark isn’t going to steal that many players from WoW or FFXIV, it’s targeted towards Diablo players and PoE players.
WoW got dethroned and hasn’t been king for like…at least 8 months at most since 9.1.
FFXIV players want to play FFXIV in the same vein that WoW players want to play WoW. Not some top down isometric “FauxMMO”.
It has very little to do with “Asian aesthetic” and more that people want to see what it’s about, because all the fanboys hyped up a subpar PoE. The only people i’ve heard even remotely praise Lost Ark have been from; Lithuania, and the Easter Bloc while the general consensus from everyone else has been “meh”.
I personally don’t want to try and don’t care for most isometric games, especially ones that claim to be mmo’s while full on looking like phone games, and if we’re being honest that’s exactly what it looks like… a mobile game that got ported to PC. Anyway, it’s not going to do that much of anything and is just some more overhyped cash grab much like Bless Online, and Kingdom Under Fire 2 (the latter I had waited 10+ years for and i’m glad I didn’t get into it).
Maybe korthia part 2 has more than floating rocks and walk on water. Maybe…

WoW charge like $210 per year minimum for sub and expansion, getting some cosmetics and some tabs on PoE is like $60 as a permanent upgrade. What ya want GGG to do, develop from homeless camp? WoW looks and runs like crap, GGG have engineered some of the most advanced game engine technology in existence. I wish Blizzard would strive to achieve anywhere close to that “F2P” quality that GGG has managed.

Anyway I think Lost Ark will probably not even affect WoW at this point, WoW pop got so low that the only people still playing the game are the hopelessly addicted that won’t leave anyway. Though I think Lost Ark has great potential to yoink a slice of the market, I only hear good things about it and let’s remember that the game is not just some trash new mmo full of bugs and no content, it has already 3+ years of content and polish.
I played other games and came back. This game is better than people give it credit for. I think next expansion will be really good
I will play this assuming I pass the IP test tomorrow (not 100% sure if they will let japan play in US) but…I will still be a login. If only for the BE hunter to hit a pvp daily for conquest.
I will still be MAU hits. PLus some chars need to make some gold. Zovaal mount carry ain’t gonna pay for itself lol. Not going to run my army of 60’s on the task daily. But I will sneak in a couple callings.

there are only a few top streamers here. and some…deal with asmongold. Nature of the beast. Cameo’s for hits, work what you have to really.
So yes I have seen asmon’s coverage on this and others. and I take in what I need from them.
Just because a streamer is full of crap 75% of the time does not count out the 25% of the time they aren’t automatically lol.
Well that and I like ARPG anyway. I Own a quite a few games in this genre.
