I like this. The people choosing to xfer to era next week really want to be there. You have to commit. No wishy washy double timing!
The gear is irrelevant. I’ve spent an incredible amount of played time on my characters. I’m not just going to start with brand new toons.

The only prudent and pragmatic option at the moment is to pay for a transfer to Era and quit the game if a cloning service is not allowed.
I see no point in essentially throwing away thousands of hours of work to get my toon where it is all for it to become obsolete when TBC rolls out. I learnt that lesson back when TBC originally launched and honestly I don’t see the point in doing it again.
If they release TBC Era then you can always boost a toon or level a new toon there at some point, once your geared Vanilla toon goes to TBC there’s no way you can revert to its Vanilla peak.

It really sucks being forced to choose one or the other when there was an option for cloning in the last release of TBC classic. I really hope Blizzard will take notice of all of these threads and either make the cloning service available, maybe even announce TBC era servers? Just any kind of additional clarification honestly.

Take the Tunderfury to classic Era. If you are having trouble making this decision. It would be more valuable in era. You can just boost a toon for tbc.

I have had my 10x elementium bars since day 1 of P3 and we never saw a binding drop.

I would also like clone services… however these are anni servers. You opted into playing here with the pre conceived notion you were progressing inevitably to TBC. You can xfer your character for free back to era so you can still have your memories and classic story you built. Just level up a new war or whatever, in tbc its faster anyways. You knew this would happen and the turn around to beg for clones, while i agree would be nice, is still laughable given you were told this so many times these servers were NOT classic era servers, they were going to tbc.

I agree clarification would be nice, but as i said to op, he literally was aware of the consequence of rolling on a TBC bound server. Just because last release they gave clones, doesnt mean these ANNIVERSARY servers would. They’re even labeled different man; and they gave us free xfers for the people who wanted to go back and stay in classic. Theres boosts available for this type of stuff as well so he can just buy a boost if he really wants.

People opted in to anni with the preconceived notion that cloning would be available like the last time around.
Unless you have some source to link staying otherwise, I don’t think expecting/wanting cloning is unreasonable given the precedence.
