You get to the part where it says “Witness the ascent of the Lich King” and it can’t be progressed. Can’t talk to Terenas, talking to Cho does nothing. Abandoning the quest and restarting doesn’t work either.
I was able to complete the portion mentioned above fine, but I ran into another issue during the Halls of Reflection part. I did the whole dungeon and got no credit at the end to advance to the next part of the questline. I’m not sure why, but here are my guesses as to why I might not have gotten credit:
-I chose the option to skip the opening dialogue at the start of the dungeon
-I had dungeons set to heroic
-I ran up to the airship at the end as soon as I could, instead of waiting for Jaina
Anyway, it was very annoying to fix this without starting the whole lorewalking campaign over again. Zoning out and back into the dungeon didn’t fix it, the dungeon was still finished and wouldn’t reset.
What I had to do was switch dungeons to normal mode. This DC’ed me, and then when I logged back in I got dumped into the middle of the ocean. But when I got back I could restart the dungeon on normal. I did the whole thing again, and at the end I finally got credit and could progress to the next part of the storyline.
Update:
Lol ok, the next part ALSO bugged out. I didn’t get the quest to kill 25 heroes when I got to the frozen throne section. Not knowing I was supposed to have another quest, I killed everyone and then nothing happened. After standing around for a while I summoned Cho and then I got the quest, but now I can’t complete it because all the heroes are dead. Zoning out and back in doesn’t respawn them.
Ok hopefully last update, i was able to respawn the heroes by switching raid size and difficulty while I was outside of the instance.
But this needs to be fixed, I’m someone who is pretty familiar with the game and I’m having issues… I’m sure a newer player would have just given up.

same here … tried relogging seems to be an issue checked wowhead similar issues.

changing my dungeon difficulty to normal fixed it and allowed me to complete the storyline.

Same issue here with “Witness the ascent” part. Turned in that quest to King Terenas and Cho put me back in LK at the start of the steps with Muradin, Jaina and Uther. No way to continue. Abandoning, restarting and change instance diff doesn’t do anything. Guess it’s just bricked on this character for now.

oh thank god. I did the same.
Same issue. Completed the ascent, talked to Terenas, then got hung up in the Halls of Reflection when Jana died out of nowhere. I get that it’s a DPS check, but the tuning for Jana seemed way off. I thought something was wrong with the quest so I abandoned it, started it again, and now I can’t hand anything in to Terenas when I climb the stairs again, and Muradin, Jaina and Uther’s ghosts keep respawning behind me.
Super buggy first outing on the lorewalking feature.

Now, I can’t even return to that part. I appear on the stairs with the souls of Jaina and the others, but I can’t complete that part because I don’t have the quest. The event is totally bugged. Now what?

Tried all the usual trouble shooting steps and still stuck at witness his ascension

Same problem here. But now it seems i’m locked into a Party Sync. So I can’t take the portal to Arathi Highlands and start those quests. I’m literally stuck.
Im on a different story but as usual Blizz releases trash for all of the new content. Stuck in the instance with no way to hearth or exit lorewalking and I cant get out to do normal content. The quality control is utter garbage these days.

yep, broke, Did this on a leveling Panda DK of 73.
“cannot enter instance due to not completing deliverance of the pit quest at 10 or higher”.
Quit, did the quest line, came back, no turn in quest for Lorewalking:No King lives forever.

I was able to complete this by first attuning myself to heroic halls of reflection. if you haven’t started, it starts in old Dalaran. “Inside the frozen citadel”, nelphi for alliance, ranger vorel for horde. work through the series. careful on “deliverance from pit”, clear mobs so npc’s survive to tyrranus or you wont be able to turn in to get “frostmourne” quest. (if you have to, you can repeat dungeon on normal). complete halls of reflection on heroic completing quest chain and you should be attuned. I restarted the lorewalking from the beginning and was able to finish and get the toy. final thing. I restarted with cho in stormwind instead of Dornagal. dont know if that was necessary or not. hope this helps.
So many bugs and issues with these events, including game-breaking, character-stucking (Ny’alotha part)…
The final stage of the Lich King is stuck for me. I guess I killed the adds too quickly…

Edit: LOL I abandoned the player killing quest and now I can’t complete it…
I had the exact same thing happen to me only now I’m stuck back to ascending Icecrown steps because the quest to kill the NPC’s isn’t triggering. Guess I’m bricked. SMH.
And yes i’ve tried changing difficulties etc. None of that works.

Yeah this is my experience. I can’t progress. Day one of new feature and it’s completely bricked, no fix as of yet on day 2.
I can’t complete “Witness the ascent of the Lich King” because I already completed the quest “Ascent of the Lich King” on my first attempt before bugging out in the dungeon.
After restarting, this garbage won’t re-give the quest “Ascent of the Lich King” when restarting the story after getting bugged out on the dungeon, and so progress is hard locked.
I found a way to fix the accension part, when you spawn at the bottom of the stairs, if the quest doesnt pop up that says kill muradin, keep walking backwards until your arthas avatar dissapears then walk back to the stairs.

I got stuck on the part of Lorewalking where you need to complete ‘O’ Thanagor’ because it didn’t give me the quest properly before I started killing. I tried restarting the Lorewalking section to start back at ‘Lorewalking: No King Rules Forever’ but now I cannot complete the first part where I kill the memories of Muradin, Jaina, Uther and Terenas because I have already completed the quest that gives credit for that section ’ Ascent of the Lich King’ and I’m worried if I try restarting the whole thing I’ll just end up stuck back here.
yeah someone needs to actually like tar and feather kotick or something, this is such trash. why in gods name did i unsub from ff14 for CONSTANT d/c, bugs and maintenance? i played 10+ hours day for 6 years on ff14 and NEVER. EVER. NOT ONE SINGLE TIME. EVER. EEEEVVVVEEERRRRR ran into a bug, NOT. ONE. TIME. IN. 912 DAYS /PLAYTIME.
it’s LITERALLY every 15 minutes on WoW, a game with LEGITIMATELY 100x the resources of ff14, and no engine isn’t THAT much older, it’s older than 14’s release date by a long time.
