I’ve completed everything for Vashj’ir Shimmering Expanse Story 10/10, but my loremaster “sinking into Vashj’ir” shows a different amount of completion. What do I need to do here?
I’ve looked elsewhere on the forum, but I don’t see any specific answers.
The first chapter of your story progress is “Defense of The Immortal Coil” while the achievement has “Defense of The Briny Cutter” listed. I think the achievement is listing for an Alliance character. Clicking on your profile in the armory, it does say your character received the Sinking into Vashj’ir achievement already.

Ok, I’ll dive into that thanks. I’m going around the zone trying to see if I’m missing a quest or something
The discrepancy on the two displays, is likely because you did the main story which is 10/10 but the achievement requires the side quests too. Those are much more challenging.
Thankfully Wowhead has them if you google the achievement sub section.
There have also been reports of achievements going wonky since the patch, with Sinking Into Vash’jir being one of the achievements mentioned.

So, I downloaded this addon called “Krowi’s Achievement Filter” and 2 things came up.
Going on Default Achievement page:
So, it’s simply not showing up correctly unless you have the addon. And perhaps it’s a feature of being “hidden” as you cannot view “Loremaster of EK” nor “loremaster of Kalimdor” until AFTER you complete them. All the other expansion show it with a light blue header under any unearned/earned.
As for the missing stuff with Vashj’ir; it’s purely visual error.

These old loremaster requirements and steps are difficult enough. I had to use a different addon to figure out how to finish up Shadowmoon in TBC…which meant doing side quests in Terrokar.
But maybe this will help someone. cheers.
