Did achievements get completely messed up?

Sabertron assemble, I have it tracked but when I go to open it, it doesn’t exist. Also I’m noticing a whole lot of wrong things, on my toon that has lore master, mechadone it thinks I haven’t done the introductory quests for mechagon, or zuldazar. A bunch of the achieves that contribute to lore master have been reset. There are achieves that were listed before the 10.2.5 patch that I can find in the typeahead but are not listed as achieves anymore. Someone failed to test the impact of the 10.2.5 on achieves, please take a look and work on the fix, it is a real mess.

sinking into vashj’ir
fading into twilight
the mechagonian threat
welcome to zandalar
all show partial progress on the toon I earned loremaster on (I couldn’t have achieved loremaster without having done these).

there are also achieves that are no longer listed when looking at unfinished achieves but you can find them in the search: “sabertron assemble”, “upright citizens” are 2 examples of this.

Another one I can’t explain, on my Horde toons I show that I can earn Ambassador of the alliance by earning rep with the 6 major alliance factions. On my Alliance toons I show I can earn ambassador of the horde… maybe there was a change I missed that allows this, but I haven’t read anything about a change enabling cross faction rep, so I suspect this also may be part of the mess, either that or I missed something which is completely possible.

I just noticed that in the reputations I show that I’ve earned credit for “The Diplomat” but also show that I haven’t earned it, it is weird to see the same one finished/unfinished almost next to each other in the achievements list.

Yes, they’re definitely messed up. The Cataclysm meta-achievement “Veteran of the Molten Front” is completely gone for me and I’d completed all but one of those achievements. I’m also missing “Sabertron Assemble” completely among random others. It’s so frustrating.

Multiple achievement have vanished. I have 383 mounts usable on one toon and my only mount achievement showing is the 100 mount(In progress at 100/100, lol)… with the blue dragon hawk as a reward for my horde characters. Mecha done is also vanished, along with Junkyard architect (which I’m still working on) and who know what else. The two tickets I’ve put in have gotten empty robo-replys. State of the game these days.

Mechagon stuff missing for me too, just noticed last night while I was working thru some BFA achvs.

A lot of achievements have been messed up since the patch went through this week. It’s not just the Mechagon ones, but there are are older ones which I’ve definitely completed which are showing completed, but then the progression in them is greyed out.

In SL ones, I had more progress in some of the achievements than that one character had accomplished, making me wonder if some of these changes have been due to things ramping towards account-wide achieves?

YEP! It’s worse than just achievements too. My warrior was my mechagon island completionist character and now I can’t even fly back there until I do the intro quest again (the one available at the FP in Boralus). Entire questlines just erased from characters…

I have the same issue on the Mounts achievement for 100 mounts (I have 691 mounts)
The Mechagon Threat is only half complete when I played through it entirely back in BFA.
Loremaster of Zandalar and all of the quest lines for those.
Trial of the Champion has credit for all of the boss kills but is incomplete.

Lots of achievements are messed up and the new ones are annoying, I’ve been an alchemist since Classic and made most of the alchemist’s stones and even have some old ones in my bags but didn’t get credit for anything including the DF ones that I’ve crafted at least a dozen times.

Max level Alchemist and Engineer and no credit for anything I made previously? Really disheartening that they brought those in without giving any credit for past crafts. Meanwhile there is no achievement for full profession knowledge on any of my DF professions.

Having the same problem, but I’m only seeing issues on the BFA Quest achievements. BFA Exploration achievements appear normal, and quest achieves for expansions like Legion also appear normal.

I’ve been working through BFA Quest achievements for about 2 months now, and what I’m actually seeing is that my alliance character appears to be (for the purposes of BFA quest achievements only) marked as a horde character. This manifests in the achievement window by eliminating the uncompleted alliance-specific achievements (such as Sabertron Assemble) and listing horde achievements, such as “The Throne of Zuldazar” and “Zandalar Forever!”

A special note on the “Mechagonian Threat” achievement - I had completely finished that achievement prior to 10.2.5, and now it’s listed again, but interestingly when opened it shows that I did only the 2nd half of the quests requirements (literally every entry after “Welcome to the Resistance” is complete, but the first 7-8 or so are not, which shouldn’t be possible). Which strongly suggests to me that I’m actually looking at the horde version, because I didn’t do all the horde quests that get me to mechagon, but once you get there, it’s the same for both factions.

Another interesting thing I saw last night is that I actually had access to the “Swab This” world quest in Tiragarde, which I was very surprised to see because I had been waiting for the “Rodrigo’s Revenge” quest in order to do the “Bless the Rains Down in Freehold” achievement. But I was able to both see and do the world quest, which then allowed me to get the achievement! Which I could then NOT click on, similar to other reports (you click on a tracked alliance achievement and it won’t open) which again suggests that the achievement window was somehow locked to Horde achievements.

I also did do a “Sabertron Assemble” kill after 10.2.5 hit, and since I already had it tracked I did see that I got credit for the copper one, but I have no way to access the achievement in the window.

All this suggests to me that characters can still meet achievement requirements, AND complete achievements, for their actual faction (e.g. “Sabertron Assemble” and “Bless the Rains Down in Freehold” for Alliance). However, accessing the achievement list in the window evaluates characters to be assigned to the wrong faction, and thus tries to list achievements from the wrong faction that they cannot otherwise perform.

One more potentially important note! I’m just realizing that while using the WoW Companion app to grind out follower missions, there was a bug in pre-10.2.5 that did seem to be fixed in 10.2.5 - when an assault was active in BFA, the text on the world map said the wrong faction was attacking. i.e., the horde would be attacking tiragarde sound and the world map would have “Alliance Attacking” in the lower left corner. That is fixed as of 10.2.5 (it now lists “Horde Attacking” in that situation or for Drustvar/Stormsong assaults). Perhaps the fix for that, which was clearly some kind of unintended toggle, also affected the evaluation of which faction someone is on? Obviously it could be unrelated, I’m just throwing it out there as the only thing that I can think of a something that is at least in the right area.

A ton of mine are missing or completed (10/10 or all green) but not awarded. Several guild achievements as well are messed up.

Just adding in here that I am having an issue with the mount achievement as well. I have been working through SL since I took a break and wanted to check mount progress, but it is showing Mountain o’mounts at 100/100 even though at last check I had 424 ish

Same on the Mountain O’Mounts achievement.

Also, I log in and lose titles that are associated with achievements; I’m assuming there’s an issue with those achievements too…

You cannot complete Loremaster achievements at this moment, there is a duplicated achievements bug right now prohibiting for this
For example Ashenvale Quests Achievement, Dustwallow Quests Achievement or To Hellfire and Back Quests Achievement are all bugged

I am glad I am not alone. Was thinking about working on some achievements today and noticed that several are messed up or missing. For example, I am showing some achievement that are for alliance players on my horde toons, Mount meta achievement is done but still greyed out.

I lost quite a few completed achievements including To Hellfire and Back, and Terror of Terrokar. It also shows my Ghostlands quest as incomplete even though I am Alliance. I lost Mountain of Mounts, even though I still have credit for the ones after it, including Thanks for the Carry. Hopefully they will squish these soon.

Also having the mountain o’ mounts bugged achievement. shows 100/100 and im almost at the 250 one. lol. sucks cause reward for the 100 one is a mount which would put me even closer to the 250

a lot of achievements are showing up regardless of faction and some even disappeared.

Its not just these. I have been using the All the things Addon for some time now, its saying I never got credit for doing the Tempest Keep and Hyjal attunments quests. I have both titles, among many many other quests its saying I never did before this patch.

Reputation achievements are jacked up too. The Diplomat achievement for rep is gone for me as well. I also have alliance factions showing up for me as a horde character which they never did before.

edit all BFA loremaster achievements I just noticed are gone for me as well. I thought something was off when I logged in and was missing a ton of points. Of course all the extra stuff that came with it is locked off to me now as well. Crap like this is inching me closer to just unsubbing man. Too much work lost.

A few reported in the bug report thread that this was fixed last night, and I can confirm that the examples I’d personally seen are resolved in my pane. Give it a look.

Confirmed it fixed all the categories and specific achieves that I reported.
