Hmmm… then I cannot give a fair answer as I only have watched Game of Thrones up to season 6 then stopped. Never watched the Lord of the Rings series from Amazon, probably never will either.

While i find it difficult to top treants lobbing boulders at bad dudes, GoT has Denise in her birthday suit.
Depends on ones priorities, but Treants are pretty dope.

Do not subject yourself to Rings of power unless you like what Danuser did to WoW lore and hate yourself immensely. It is beyond garbage.

You might still entertain yourself with binge-watching the original/OG Lord of the Rings movies, those were fairly good from what I remember
No comment on GoT it’s been years since I watched that/not current on it
I actually watched the whole series out of boredom lol
Finished watching the series last night, and yeah… 
Personally I would say it’s more boring than bad, but I agree overall it’s definitely “bad” compared to the OG films.
…and it’s not even all the SJW stuff they not-so-subtly sprinkled into it; I was legit bored throughout the episodes (slow plot, uninteresting characters, too much talking, etc etc)

I like the LOTR series and will prob still watch house of dragons but I’m not really too into GOT.
RoP has bad writing but I found it more entertaining in a sense of “shut your mind off and just enjoy the visuals,” type of way.
HotD has better writing, but it requires you to pay more attention, and tbh the wedding episode made me fall asleep.

I’m a Tolkien fan, read the books including Silmarilion, it ticks every single box that rips up everything Tolkein built.
They completely ****ed up Numenor. Galadriel was never a warrior princess. What they are doing with Celebrimbor… unforgivable.
Some of the very worst storytelling and writing I’ve ever seen, right up there with GoT s8.

The lord of the rings tv show is okay it’s nothing too special but some of the locations are actually pretty awesome looking at the world building is alright I guess.

Yea cause it shouldn’t be seen as a continuation of Tolkien’s work. It’s just a fanfiction and money-grab. So it’s all about knowing what you’re getting out of the experience so you don’t get upset about it.

I played it “in the background” on my TV and I admit the visuals are rather pretty/easy on the eyes 
The music/ambience is good too, no complaints there
Everything else though…

Then they shouldn’t have attached LotR to it, or based it on anything to do with that work.
They shouldn’t have used iconic characters with actual literature backing, manipulating them to their ideologies thinking thats perfectly fine.
They took on the IP someone far more creative & intelligent, contorted it and ruined it.
It is another franchise sunk by modern media, and it is actually complete garbage.
