Look, I get not wanting to drown people in gear, and there wanting to be some challenge.
That being said, it’s a bit on the ridiculous side when you go the majority of a raid or through 8 dungeons, and only come out with 2 pieces of loot for your troubles.
Lol, I’ve done nothing on my enhance shaman except farm Taz streets and Iron docks for a new weapon, still nada, and to add insult to injury I’ve been in 2 groups where First Fist of the Cartel dropped… for other people.
Since the start of the season i’ve gotten 11 cloaks and 9 wrists, on my druid alone. (Both of which are on my legendary slots.) So yeah. it’s aids and needs fixed.
Boost loot for raids definitely but keep dungeon loot the same because of how spammable they are. That is coming from someone who avidly does M+. I like to raid with my guild but If I am getting too decked out heroic quality gear in M+ than I lose interest in raiding outside of completion.
look at new world, you get gear absolutely dumped on you which does nothing but water it down and make it mean absolutely nothing.
if we are gonna change anything regarding gear it should be that transmog gear from old content doesnt require it be usable for the appearance to be collected.
Or give back coins that gurantee a piece of loot off a specific boss’ loot table. That way people can target specific bosses and items. Oh I got something off the first boss, not going to see anything else for the run.
Loot should be a lot more deterministic. I think a good 70% to 80% of character gearing should be from tokens that drop from content, which are then bought from a vendor. Then the remaining 20% or 30% should be RNG drops.
Being helpless to the RNG gods to replace a trash piece, or coming out of a raid empty handed, are things that shouldn’t happen.
This would also fix the problem in some expansions where we’re showered in so much random loot that we’re desensitized from the exciting feeling of getting loot.
