Loot Amounts in Castle Nathria

The intended drop rate was much closer to one piece of loot per 20 bosses completed so there is nothing to complain about here. When they fix it to that ratio things will stabilize.

This loot system is PUNISHING. How do I keep my raiders and M+ pushers, interested in the game long enough to re-sub next month?

This new loot system is demoralizing for the amount of keys and raid bosses complete; feeling like you guys are literally forcing us to stay gated around 200iL, for no reason. We have played the general content enough.

At least model loot options after PVP, if you’re going to punish us with actual lack of drops. That system is leaps and bounds better than it was and better than the RNG bs that we have in keys and raid now.

blizzard back at it again saying oh it was a bug when in reality it seems as if it was an intended original feature but because it wasn’t getting them enough of a time gate they want to nerf it now. Like come on talk about a terrible developer decision you guys at blizzard are supposed to be the best in the industry yet alls I have seen so far from shadowlands drop table % and loot % this expansion in regards to mythic drops, Mythic + drops and even in raids, is that you guys are no longer the best nor about fun, but have become a mediocre company on that of the level of a korean game companies which in itself says alot. Seriously making some mediocre choices when you devs at blizzard are supposed to be the best.

The best attendance we had was when ML was a thing. The handholding by Blizz hurts small/casual raiding guilds more than it helps, imo.

And as many others have said, there’s plenty of problems that still haven’t been addressed. Can’t help but feel a little cynical about how fast they jump on fixing an extra piece of loot dropping in raid.

Of course they had to fix too much loot dropping, priorities you know. Other issues, nah, as long as people aren’t getting too much loot all else can wait.

This is ridiculous. Is it April 1st already?

It was a gift to the elite players who could have been expected to kill a lot of bosses the first week.

hahahahaha! All these posts about no loot and Blizz pops on and says “We noticed too much loot in one area”

Plenty of casuals loved Titanforging and Corruption, because they felt like they were on an even playing field with non-casuals, because RNG gave them gear they didn’t need or deserve, which lead to them being fully geared in 2 weeks. So according to your logic, TF/Corruption should not have been removed at all.

Do you not think your friend was happy with getting a BiS ring? Which they won’t replace until Mythic/RNG Vault? Won’t you feel rewarded when a friend of yours is able to trade you your BiS ring which you won’t replace for months?

Sure, you may not feel very rewarded right now, but basing your entire sense of the system on the first few weeks, when barely any items are tradeable, isn’t a reasonable way of looking at it. I assume you just need to get a BiS item or two in order to understand the system better.

Did you really feel more rewarded when you got 9 rings in a row in 9 weeks in BfA, none of them having any good stats, meaning you scrapped them all? Or did you repress how bad the weekly chests were pre-SL, constantly giving people terrible items, thereby being coined the “Weekly Chest of Disappointment”?

I mean, if you want to be negative about the system, go ahead. The system is way better than all previous systems, despite lower drop rates. Basing it on subjective bad RNG and completely ignoring how it has benefitted your Guild so far is naïve at best at ignorant at worst, but unfortunately too many people have become addicted to instant gratification and can’t see the big picture. They are far too addicted to getting fully geared in terrible items in 2 weeks, so they can unsub for 6+ months until the next patch, repeat the gearing process for 2 weeks, and then unsub again.

I have never understood, and will never understand, how people honestly feel less rewarded for working for BiS items for a slightly longer period of time, than putting in no work and getting terrible items with terrible stats instantly, and never getting items which are good for them. I’d much rather have good items than an endless sea of useless trash items, in a system where it’s impossible to ever achieve BiS items, unless you’re the luckiest person in the entire universe.

Damn! I am glad I did not buy this cluster ________!!!

By the time we get enough gear to be able to start trading, we’ll be into the next tier… and won’t be able to trade again because ilvl.

But are we really working towards it if it’s just a random drop, I would rather see a currency system return, then players can truly work towards upgrades. Rather than just running dungeon after dungeon and possibly see nothing while another player who dies every boss fight could just get lucky and get drops every boss.

Are you serious? The only ones who got fully geared in 2 weeks were those running mythic plus and/or raiding I am not sure how you figure they didn’t deserve it.

Soon after this was posted I started doing 10/10 normal runs in CN. I get loot on 1:10 bosses, never more. On two different characters 2 weeks straight. Week: 1 9/10 CN and Week 2: 10/10 CN both toons both week. The 1 loot both weeks for both characters were duplicates. I gave them to another raider. Sadly when that raider gets loot later that I need he keeps it. I’ve seen people refuse to share loot they don’t need out of spite.

When you go 10/10 CN with 1:10 loot that is a duplicate and still have 158 hands on… This followed by no upgrade on weekly vault. I have to say it’s a pretty good chance I lose interest in the game.

Someone raiding lfr shouldn’t be more geared than a heroic raider because they got lucky and their piece of gear randomly upgraded. So no, that system should never come back. Geared in 2 weeks depends on what you consider geared. If you don’t raid and just do WQs 184 is pretty geared for you. If you just raid normal 190 is pretty geared. Heroic and 200 is decently geared etc. This has nothing to do with drop rates. Loot in BfA wasn’t exciting because not only did it drop everywhere (literally fell out of the sky) but the ilvl on most gear was lower than what you had, especially late into the xpac.

I’m sure he was. Too bad I had to loot it twice to be able to give it to him.

Rewarded? Not really. More of a “thank god someone who could trade it to me got it instead of Billy on his new alt”.

Why not? In a few months it’ll go back to BfA levels of excitement. You think most players are gonna be doing 10 mythic 15s a week for 3 chest options? Before too long the weekly vault will be disappointing all over again. 750 stygia, oh boy I’m thrilled. I’d be more excited for gear if there was something like a badge system so I could determine what gear I get, instead of waiting on RNGesus to shine his light upon me.

No but at least then there was an excuse that gear dropped too much. Now the excuse is bad luck.

Give it a month or 2. It’ll be back to that before you know it. People aren’t gonna do 10 +15s a week for the entire xpac to minimize rng in their vault.

"Despite lower drop rates. Now imagine this new system with old drop rates. Almost perfect. Wow.

Sorry. This system as told to us by Blizzard is supposed to make loot feel more rewarding to US as in the person playing, not our friend. So yes, I will say negative things about it. When you full clear a raid or dungeon and get no reward (35 anima is not a reward) it feels bad. Oh did Billy get 3 loots tonight and you got 0? Good for him. Wheres mine? Oh, thats right, bad rng. Instant gratification would imply I get everything I need every boss on first kill. No one expects that. But something every few boss kills? That’d be nice.

I have alts I enjoy playing. I want to be able to get my BiS so I can work toward my alts BiS. I hate that Blizzard is basing the game around these people that play 1 character and then quit. Especially when they change things based on that that won’t even solve the issue. Do you really think those players will be here in a month even with the new system? I don’t.

“Slightly” longer. You mean weeks or months longer. Not to mention a lot of the items from raid are terribly itemized because its the first raid.

With current drop rates it’ll still feel that way. And people will just give up because who cares? Especially once the next raid is announced and they know all of that hard earned gear is gonna be replaced in 9.1, then 9.2 and so on.

I got 750 stygia on week 2 of the vault. 3 options unlocked and all were dups. Is that better than 35 anime? CN was nerfed and not dropping non duplicated if anything…

week 2 vault =750 stygia…

I like how this nerf is losing them money, but it hasn’t been reverted yet.

I feel the opposite. When I get BiS, I will probably quit, because the dungeons and raids just aren’t as fun as BFAs. And my alts are not appealing to me. In BFA there was two dungeons I avoided like the plague. In SL, there are only two dungeons that are remotely enjoyable

I daresay islands and warfronts were even better than Torgast and Maw, and after this realization I am kinda at a loss for words

This is literally SO DUMB! The more grind this game has, the less I want to play. Already want to unsub and NEVER play again after this expansion (lucky y’all got my money for it already).

If anything, loot needs to increase. Gains need to be more achievable, not less. How is it that a person can play every waking moment not at work and still struggle to excel?

Tedium does not make the game more fun, it does not make me want to play more. It’d be more fun to be able to have multiple characters to play with, but you can’t do that because you’ll never get anywhere with the ridiculous grinds.

Yet Blizz failed miserably at this. Just looking at the loot you can get from these activities, there is great disparity, not just in loot drops, but quality. You want good loot, still forced into M+. Raid ilvl, worthless, PvP and world, worthless.

If y’all trying to give people choices of activities instead of forcing people to run M+ hundreds to thousands of times, over and over again, then the item levels need to be aligned, not drop chances.

GIVE PLAYERS WHAT THEY WANT Stop trying to see how miserable you can make players until they unsub.
