I never said that. I have it but I really don’t see the difference in it getting removed one way or another. Even when it goes on the BMAH you’ll likely pay around the same amount. I’ve seen stuff on the BMAH go for a lot cheaper then when it was relevant (see korkron juggernaut etc etc)
But the brutosaur has an AH directly on it. I can wager 200 real dollars that the price will skyrocket to unbelievable amounts of gold. One has a perk, the other is just a model.
If the brutosaur is to be removed, then remove the yaks and make new mounts every expansion with the same benefits.
God damn the shills are out in full force over this.
Removing it from the vendor is a bad idea. Plain and simple. If people are sooooooooo convinced that players weren’t going to get this anyway due to its cost, then they should have no problem with leaving it right where it is. See? See how that logic works both ways? And that’s ignoring the fact that maybe…just MAYBE there are players out there who are still working towards it but may not have enough gold by the time it gets removed. Or heaven forbid, NEW PLAYERS! Geez. I wonder how new players would feel getting jibbed out of this arbitrarily introduced artificial scarcity. A bit of a kick in the nuts if you ask me.
And no, it’s NOT the same as panda lego/wod challange/legion mage tower. In case you hadn’t noticed, BfA has no big trump card like those. Hence why its mostly a crappy expac.
Removing it in a year I can guarantee you (without having to sit here and post some statistics) will affect a very small amount of people.
Removing it affects 100% of the people that don’t have it and don’t have the disposable income (approximately $675 at current WoW Token gold price) to buy it or the time to farm it. It affects the people that want it and can farm it given the time limit but must spend a majority of their play time farming gold rather than playing the current content or leveling an alt. It affects everyone that doesn’t have it now by limiting their choices whether they would have elected to buy it or not. For no good reason at all.
Hell, maybe more of us would have it if there wasn’t a rash of needlessly overpriced vendor mounts in this expansion.
Take the three frogs, the six 8.2 faction mounts, and the Rustbolt mount - all of which are priced just to soak players - that’s 1.8 million gold for 10 mounts, 7 of which dropped less than six months ago.
I didn’t own the mammoth or yak until well after the expac they were released in. So that’s false. Also it doesn’t matter who would or would not own it eventually. They have never removed a gold sink. Doing so now with the most expensive one to date can only be for one reason.
I still am to get an answer as to why it matters if the mount is kept in the game if people weren’t going to buy it anyway, where’s the harm in leaving it in the game?
In fact let me help your ego;
“You haven’t got the brutosaur yet? It’s been in the game for 6 years, you’re slacking”
