Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

I’m actually okay with this. There’s no way an AH mount will be a one-time thing. So this only means that there’ll be a new one in Shadowlands.

But it does appear to be a one-time Brutosaur thing. There’s no other mount with this model.

Frankly, I don’t think people buy it for the dinosaur aesthetic. It’s an extremely impractical mount to use. People with gold use it to make more gold.

That’s were you are (partially) wrong, kiddo.
Some idiots like myself just want it because it is huge and unique. The portable AH is just a plus.

This does it for me.

Working towards the mount in my downtime was something fun that I looked forward to. Now the fact that I might not get there (even with a large amount of time to go) makes it feel not worth the effort. Putting it on the BMAH effectively removes it from the game.

There is pretty much no limit to what the devs will remove from the game and do it without telling us. There is no good reason to do this, and I think we have enough speculation on all of the evil reasons.

Pure and simple if I work towards something, I want to be sure that I will keep what I have earned. Right now I don’t trust the devs to just delete something tomorrow that I spent hours/days/months/years working to get.

Why though? If you don’t want it now, why would you want it just because it’s going away?

Because there are people who might want it now, but can’t afford it. And instead of thinking they had all the time in the world to work on it, like every other vendor mount out there, they’ve suddenly been given a time limit before it gets shoved off to the BMAH.

They’re not going to squeeze any playtime out of me, nor RL money for it. This is an obvious ploy.

I’m getting KTs, Vulp, and MechGs and playing something else until SL.

you have a year to get it if you want it

There’s one thing y’all are forgetting. Not only reduces the available time but only ONE player per server can buy it.

So, even if this people that are arguing for “it will show up eventually”, WHEN it show up only one will get it.

One way or another, its a really bad thing

Well, if the brutosaur is being removed, I assume there will be a mount in Shadowlands that has the same functionality to replace it, making this “Auction mount” special to this expansion, but providing a new version in the next one.

The fact that a new one hasn’t been announced means that Blizzard is hoping the crazies will dump hundreds of dollars into WoW tokens to get the brutosaur “before they lose their chance to get an auction house mount forever!”

The only thing worse than this, is if they actually did remove the mount and didn’t offer a replacement. What would the point of removing this mount be? 5 million gold certainly is not going to be any more affordable next expansion. BFA already went backwards in terms of making gold–WoD and especially Legion made it much easier to farm gold than it was in BFA, and there’s no reason why Shadowlands would significantly inflate the economy.

Again, I’m certain this is a marketting move, albeit a clever one, and that there will be a new auction mount next expansion. I know this because Blizzard knows that these mounts sell well (heck, how many people bought that weird spider mount just to pretend they were rich and for no practical or aesthetic reason?), so there will be another auction mount that is just as, if not more, expensive in Shadowlands. Mount collectors will be encouraged to get all of them each expansion since “They will go away each expansion! :open_mouth:

You can quote me on this.

That said, I really liked brutosaurs, and I will be sad to see this one go with no replacement. I’d prefer if a non-auction version was added (preferably at a much cheaper price) for those who just like them.

Turn it into a toy with a 10hr CD.

Oh look, more disappointment.

Not necessarily. They only have a handful of those special use mounts, and not one in every expac.

I wouldn’t have paid for just the dinosaur appearance. It is a handy mount to have if you post on the auction house a lot.

I’m aware that a level-squish will be transpiring in preparation for Shadowlands. And there are plans to update the Auction House system in-game as well. Will there also be a change to the economy of the game in Shadowlands?

For example, will there be a currency squish (gold) for rewards along with the level-squish?

Why not leave the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur mount with the current vendors. What is the point of this.
I mean the thing costs 5 million gold so some people may want to take their time and save gold to buy the thing.
Worse your putting it in the Black Market Auction House.

Makes no sense at all.:woman_facepalming:

Blizz has been drinking from the septic tanks again, and they continue to do so.

I approve of this.

They are preserving the value and rareness of this mount. All the previous gold sink mounts lost their appeal as it became easier to get gold. Nobody cares when you see a traveling mammoth anymore. But since Long boi has been given a time limit to get it, that will make it very prestigious for years to come for those who were able to buy it when it was hard to get. That makes it worth the 5 million imo.

They have given everyone plenty of time to buy it before it goes extinct. So either start grinding or accept the fact that you couldn’t make enough gold this expansion to afford the most useful mount in this game.

I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that Blizzard thought this was a good idea, or that I’m going to have to hear in a youtube video how this is good for me and everyone who disagrees is throwing a poop diaper.
