Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

They do new things a lot. I don’t see a problem with it personally. I never did see a problem with having time limited stuff (and this isn’t even that since it will be available on the BMAH).

Yes, they do new things. This is a bad new thing.

You gotta be kidding me.
You do know what a comment is, right? RIGHT?
I also linked the original sources so you could read yourself. SMH

I am not kidding you. I am actually shocked you took what you claimed was from wowhead and then altered it.

And you only linked it AFTER I asked for it.

However, I can see you still think you did nothing wrong there. I disagree.

I would like to add my fake outrage to the thread.

I am thoroughly disgusted that a mount that I was never considering is being removed.

Mine cheekeths burn from the slapeth!!!

Nice strawman, but this is legit annoyance. Completely unnecessary own goal from Blizzard.

OOH… strawman… you are serious about this!

No but for real, it’s a dumb change.

Why? What does this add to the game? This is such a stupid idea. For one, I thought gold sinks were meant to be a good thing. But mostly, not a very large percentage of the population is going to be able to afford it in this time. I got the WLK mammoth with a repair vendor in MoP, and the MoP yak with a transmog vendor in late WoD.

Consider who would have been able to obtain the brutosaur in the span of one expansion. For the most part it is going to be people who play the auction house a whole lot. Well now they have a mount with an auctioneer. Enabling them to play the auction house with much greater convenience than people who don’t have one yet. So it will likely increase the wealth gap between them and others, with no chance for others to ever get on the same level as them.

But the biggest thing you should consider is the conclusion many players are certain to jump to for the real motivation behind this: that is will encourage more people to buy game tokens, thus bumping up blizzard’s profits. I’m not necessarily saying that’s what you’re trying to do with this move. But someone definitely will say that.

Please do not go ahead with this decision. Aside from anything you’d also just be removing an amazing looking mount from the game for no good reason.

Everyone forgets about the mount equipment. They will strip all mounts and make you grind factions to equip it with the items.

No one is mentioning time metrics either. Not every one pops out credit cards for stuff.

Anyone who is serious about playing the auction house has 3 characters parked at an auction house already (I wont go into why there are 3) so this point is unfounded.

Well…you got me. This induced scarcity will get me to spend $$$. Let’s hope you beat your quarterly bookings guidance for investors so you don’t have to do this again.

LOL

You could buy me one too, if you have this amount of money laying around. Not gonna get mad if ya do.

You mean they’re doing it to pad their financial outlook for their shareholders?

Only until they afford a brutosaur. Then they can do their AH business wherever they want, unlike those non-brutosaur suckers. So no, the point is no unfounded.

I’m honestly trying to wrap my brain around the logic process here. It’s an in-game gold sink item. There is literally no development cost or changes required. Out of the sheer innumerous issues that still plague the game, especially leading into the new expansion facing a giant level squish that will require untold hours of balancing and hard work to bring to the table… THIS is what you deemed critically important to remove from players.

Your complete nonsensical insanity is downright baffling. This is an abjectly stupid decision that has zero reasoning.

how disappointing to see so much work go into such a unique model, only to throw it in the bin. :disappointed_relieved:

Warning, warning, fun detected! :oncoming_police_car:

The asinine decisions continue unabated. The purpose of the mount was to soak gold from the economy, and to give gold farmers something to work towards.

On the positive side, they don’t have to fix professions. Now there’s no reason to farm gold. Beyond repairs, gold is essentially worthless and the economy for this game is K.I.A. Ironic considering they’re overhauling the AH.

Oh well, back to training my Pokemon. I got my Stadia code and founders pack arriving today. It’s exactly this type of decision making that has me not interested in sticking around for Shadowlands

This is how you turn a gold sink into a cash sink.
