Because I refuse to search endlessly and am lazy does anybody know what the Shadowlands gold sink mount is going to be?? I was going to buy the Auctionosaur just before it went away but now I’m wavering. I spent nearly as much as I made this expac so I won’t have enough to plunk down another 5 million in Shadowlands (unless gold generation gets much easier), especially since Pathfinder is making me sit out the first year or so. Thanks for the help!!

“Much lower”? They are roughly 10k lower, that’s not any where close to “much”. It’s normal fluctuation and shows that nothing has happened to increase either demand or supply. Your “they did this to increase token sales” theory is silly. If it was the intention, it didn’t work as intended.

Except you had a few people with brutosaur whole xpac. Then bam last two months u see them everywhere? U can spin it however u want. U know and I know the truth.
I don’t see them anymore now than I did when they first came out.
Considering that only 1.4% of the game population even have the mount (reference: https://www.worldofwargraphs.com/global-stats/mounts), your claim is patently false.

You mean the same site that has not been updated in a while since it does not have mounts like Voidwing, Allseer, or any other 8.3 mount.

by the end of the expansion, i had 3.
tokens didn’t exist.
the longer a thing exists, the more people will have it.

Actually, I’ve never seen much of the spider mount, but that’s probably because it was really expensive for not having vendors, and wasn’t/isn’t arbitrarily time limited.

U rarely seen the spider mount then or now. I understand how things work dude. But u had a year and a half of maybe seeing a dozen brutosaurs around to seeing people on them everywhere all the time in the last 6-8 month span of blizz saying they are taking them out? Dude don’t think people didn’t buy tokens to Atleast help them get the gold to get it. Even if they were half way to goal. Heck I’m even guilty of fluffing it with some tokens when it was profitable to get it. I knew tokens would drop after they announced it. And sure enough they did.

That site hasn’t updated since December 2019, so it’s a little out of date.
According to Data for Azeroth, the MCB is sitting at 5% and Wowhead shows it at 4%.

I did realize that after I posted, but got busy at work and wasn’t able to update my post. Still…
…those numbers negate the “they are everywhere” claim. 4-5% of the population is just not that much.
Is it higher than it would have been today if they’d not have made it time limited? Possibly. But it’s not so high that claiming they are seen all the time, everywhere is justified.

I do see it a lot lately (there was a line of about 6 of them at the Sha of Anger spawn yesterday afternoon as one example), but I think it is mostly just people wanting to show off.

I would say you are right. This kind of thing is done a lot with the more “rare mounts”, especially at rare spawn points that people tend to gather at. You’ll see a line of drakes, or a group of “Invisible”, or a cluster of some rare mount or some other type of mount (the colored birds, red/green/purple ground ones are also popular to do this with) because one guy is on it, then another guy comes by who has it, and so on and so on and so on (Gee…Your Hair Smells Terrific…LOL).
It’s not because the game is inundated with them.

Yep, that is basically how it happens. Saw it happen with Invincible at the Rustfeather spawn a few nights ago. I flew there and sat on mine. Next thing I knew there was 3-4 others trying to line up.

Not sure why some folks can’t seem to grasp such a simple concept. 
You’ve essentially summarized Blizzard’s argument for removing the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur from the vendors:
If they left it on the vendors, I would be getting it in a year or two. Since they’re removing it, I won’t be getting it at all. That’s one less MCB to offend Blizzard’s sensibilities.

Disagree with this. What difference does it make? If someone wants to sink 5m gold into this then let them. What would it matter if years from now they were all over the place? This is a weak argument on your end. It feels really bad to see removed items you can no longer obtain. Real bad, especially when there just wasn’t a good reason to remove the items. It’s bogus.

I have seen LOADS more on my server in the last couple weeks than I have since launch. Unless everyone made the same gold at the same speed all expac and are all buying at the same time for it, I’m guessing there’s more going on.
Edit; They aren’t in chorus lines, they’re just scattered everywhere. Not the same as like players on like mounts gathering just because it admittedly looks cool and is fun.
