Hello blizzard,
I just wanted to reach out to you once more to say that I do not agree or support your decision to move the brutosaur mount to the BMAH.
Thank you,
Fezzy
Glad to see folks are still as unhappy about this move as I am. Would love to see this decision reversed but I really doubt Blizzard will change their mind
The amount of time you’ve spent on this single forum post could have been used to farm up enough gold by now. Never seen someone cry so much in a forum post
Why is this being necro’d?
Seriously? I can farm 5 million gold in 30 seconds? Please tell me how it’s done.
ok guess I’m not getting this mount then
How can a casual make 4 million gold before October?
Anyone feeling generous?
Re-reading this post I learned that plateosaurus and triceratops doesn’t count as a dinosaur. Hmm english bad.
Its not been necor’d its been an on going fight against Blizzard since they came out and said they were removing this mount.

It’s rare that a day goes by without a new post here–often many new posts. I realize this isn’t a game-breaking issue (unless you believe setting a bad precedent like this is ultimately game-breaking).
Still, I’d really like to see Blizzard compromise, at least a little, and show they do care about how players feel. Gold-sink mounts should never be removed. Players should be allowed to acquire the needed gold at their own pace. If Blizzard’s true reason for removing the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur from the vendors is because they don’t want AH mounts to be as common as repair mounts, then it should be an easy call to replace it with non-AH models.
5million not 4. RIP the dream.
I am unable to do anything in game but farm gold for this. They should leave it in the game. It was a long term goal for a lot of people now put under a timer.
I thought your point was that it’s an either/or choice. I thought your point was you couldn’t focus on any thing other than the gold earnings.
During the time that I worked for the mount I continued to run my guild, raid Heroic, Visions, weekly M+, finish exalted on the new factions, fit in some RP, worked casually on two alts, and tracked down a few pesky recipes I was missing.
I reject the concept that you cannot “play the game” and obtain this mount. What I will agree is that you cannot “dabble in the game” and obtain this mount. To get this mount in the expac it was released, WoW needs to be your free-time focus and your primary Hobby. Frankly, for those who want it in the expac it was released, that seems fair.
Do I support the way they are doing this? Fel no! Do I wish it would remain in game for those who eventually wish to have it? Fel yes!
Cheering on those still working away at it - you’re almost in the home stretch! \o/
I have 1 million. So I only need 4 million more.
It would have been this way for me even if they had announced the Brutosaur was limited to this expansion from the very start. Other people had the gold, but chose to spend it on other things in the belief that they could buy the Brutosaur later. Those are the ones who were really hurt by this underhanded switcheroo.
I just have too many interests and demands on my time to dedicate enough of it to earn the gold by the deadline. I thought I could earn this mount on my own terms, but Blizzard decided people like me don’t deserve to work for things at our own pace. It would have been a lot nicer to have known from the very beginning that I’m not allowed to have this mount. I never would have gotten my hopes up for Blizzard to dash.
I’m not v fussed if the longboi goes, if I had the amassed gold, would prolly buy one, they are cute. If size is an issue, shrinking them is canon. I’ve done the Zuldazar quest! In any case, a mobile AH option would be nice though. (Is there one, other than the radio for the BMAH?)
Other than the brutosaur the only non capital city AH (other than the engineer one in expac cities) is one that you can build in your garrison trading post.
I’m all for them keeping it in, and I feel that we still wouldn’t know that it was being removed if not for data-mining, but the idea that someone is sitting at a meeting and pointing a finger and saying: “low time played players don’t deserve this mount!” while everyone else in the room nods their heads wisely as the gavel slams down and the motion passes is just silly.
Well, yeah. I was just being petulant. It happens sometimes. Mea culpa.
That’s my issue. I would not have spent the same way and would have had a lot easier time spreading it out. Now it’s all I do.
