I don’t think I’d ever see that amount of gold in my WoW lifetime. Most I have is around 200k on my toons.

Cata raids (4 raids) - heroic
MoP raids (5 raids) - heroic, LFR
- SoO LFR, normal, heroic, and mythic versions
WoD raids (3 raids) - LFR, normal, heroic, mythic
This will place you in the ballpark of 100k/character/week.
There was a guy who just debunked that. It’s more like 28k for all those raids.

I’m a new player and earning the gold ingame didn’t seem worth it when real life is more rewarding in terms of perception, skills and effort.
If you earn about 90k~ with OT for 50% weekends and 20% nights, takes a single OT weekend shift.

Before I start I’m not complaining about gold. I can buy all the gold I want.
I get up for werk at 4am and don’t get home until just after 5pm. In a perfect werld I’d farm until the cows came home but I can’t. But atm I barely have tyme to camp Rustfeather. Damn him and his lousy mount!!
You’d make the money for it, working 8 hours on the weekend.
She is basically saying. Not only can you cover the cost of the mount with the income you get from working over time on one weekend but it also lets you achieve more in the real world in the process which is good in the long run.
Edit: several weekend actually not just one weekend. Sorry for my wrong assumption haha

My issue is that I’ve got enough gold, but it’s on multiple servers. It’s definitely doable if I do nothing but grind gold for a while.
Does Blizzard really want me to stop playing the game and just grind gold? To not do my quests in BfA on the 3 characters I just leveled up as my first 120’s, essentially abandoning BfA content to get this?
I mean, I can do it, but it seems like a really odd thing for them to want people like me to do.
I don’t think anybody’s going to be playing extra to do this. They’re just going to stop raiding or whatever they have been spending their time doing.
People who wanted this but now realize they can’t get it because the deck has been stacked against them with a giant saurid bait-and-switch… Some of them are going to be so disheartened they’ll give up entirely.
Seriously though, why does Blizzard want me to stop playing current content to grind gold and get this?

And I feel like vomiting in my mouth at the thought of having to work more. Also I’m salary and not allowed to moonlight.
And also I don’t think someone should have to play till their eyes bled nor should they have to consider working 50 hours a week for an in game reward.
I also think blizzard is being absolute pieces of crap for this decision.
All it’s done is make me consider unsubbing.
The game has NOT been all that mega fun lately and so these long term goals are what keep me going during the droubts.
But here Blizz is making something that was a peaceful calming multi year goal and saying you got like 6 months, go. For no real reason except to get a cash grab.

They might end up double screwing people if they decide to later remove the NPCs.
