Honestly, I’m not surprised Blizzard is removing it. The continuous removal of features, cosmetics, and the like, has made me care less about WoW in certain regards.
The day they removed certain achievement points I worked hard on is the day I stopped caring about achievement points.
The day they removed more abilities from the class I enjoyed is the day I stopped caring about/working on one particular class.
The one time I bought a collectors edition xpac (WoD) was for the mount and turns out, later on, you were able to buy one in game, that looked just like it…though a slightly different color. I stopped caring about collectors editions.
These are just a few reasons. Is Blizzard well within their rights to remove things? Yes, but consumers will eventually get tired of it. They go farther and farther away from the reasons I really enjoyed playing WoW to begin with.
They keep giving me bread crumbs! I’m a meat and potatoes girl, gosh darn it!
AS FAR AS THE BRUTOSAUR goes, don’t buy tokens. RESIST.
Let’s all be honest with ourselves can we.
The bulk of the player base wouldn’t care if it’s gone and the people complaining about it will never be able to afford buying it.
There are more important issues like relaxing transmog restrictions.
It’s not a problem for me. I would imagine, it’s not a problem for a great deal of people. Only the the OCD types might suffer.
Really I have been complaining about the removal and I brought it day 1 of BfA going live…its unfair to rest of the player base that been working to save up to get one.
Just like the special sale they had last year or whatever it was, when they removed all of those mounts and pets from the store. “Better hurry up and throw money at us for these because they’re going away!!” So scummy.
Actually, you didn’t explain anything. But that’s ok, because… just like it’s your opinion that my opinion is silly, it’s my opinion that your opinions on this matter are silly too.
Its a bunch of pixels with a long neck that your smaller bunch of pixels sits on to ride around a fantasy pixel world. Getting legitimately upset over it is… all the silly. There’s no more silly left, because getting legitimately upset over it used up all the silly in the world.
To you, maybe. To me it’s another stupid decision in a long line of stupid decisions they’ve been making and I’m expressing my annoyance about it.
Man, I really wish Blizz would just lock threads and point people to the megathread instead of merging threads. All it does is disrupt whatever discussion is happening in the megathread.
I don’t think it is really about the pixels for most people. It’s about the precedent Blizzard is setting and I don’t think it is good.
100% agreed. This is amazing that this many people are mad about something they were never going to buy anyway.
I feel lightheaded.
I’m confused as to why you keep making this assumption, over and over again. You know what they say about assuming, after all.
How does not having gold in game measure up to not having money in real life?
After what was done with the water strider, I confess I didn’t expect the blizzard to be just behind the brutosaurus.
I was waiting for them to attack the mammoths or the big Yak.
Well, even if they no longer made this joke with a mount, I would have little desire to try this mount for its exorbitant price.
Brutosaurus is fantastic but it is not worth the price you are asking for it nor the work to gather gold for a purchase.
You know… I’m pretty convinced that a lot of the people who post on GD are immature entitled outragists. So yeah, it is AMAZINGLY silly to me. I would think most adult-minded people would agree that getting legitimately upset because a video game company removed a pretend mount from their video game… hell, getting legitimately upset over a video game AT ALL, is really, really silly. It’s… childish at best.
And think about this: it hasn’t actually been removed! It’s not actually going to get removed until next year. And all of this upset and drama… it’s just spoiled kids, man.
So, you’re wrong. It’s not “to me, maybe”, it’s “to me, certainly”.
Why remove it unless your deciding to change gold in some way or another?
Can still change things like gold without removing things like the mount.
Thank you for sharing your unnecessary opinion and calling us a bunch of names instead of having an adult discussion about it! Your feedback has been noted, and ignored.
The idea this is a “challenge” akin to the Mage Tower is asinine. As is your claim that it is a “single expansion challenge” when most of the gold used to buy them came from WoD and Legion mission tables. Try harder.
