Looks like no Thanksgiving for me

I can miss a few hours of WoW for Thanksgiving…

It might be helpful to point out that Nov 23rd is a Monday and Nov 26th is Thanksgiving Thursday! Just a friendly heads up because I’ve seen some posts that seem to think release is on Thanksgiving day.

Thank you for the reply

Funny how the Launch on Monday suddenly turns into Thursday.

There is a third wave of the pandemic going on and no way would I get together with anyone outside of my home anyway. I am in the high-risk group but my MiL is in her 80s so, yeah, no way.

I am as sick of staying home as anyone is but smart enough to recognize that my feelings about it shouldn’t dictate my actions. My older neighbor has to work in a store and she cries about the young people who come in and refuse to wear masks, putting her at risk. I mean, come on.

I’m not being political about this. I don’t care who you are voting for. Don’t risk the lives of your family because you can’t bear to have a turkey sandwich this year. Don’t make older ladies cry because you won’t wear a mask in their store. Just care about other people.

Anyway . . .Having new WoW to play is a bonus for me. It will take my mind off missing extended family and at least I can “see” my sister because we have been playing together in WoW since BC! My sister and me and my wife all play together and we have so many fun memories.

Sorry if I ranted. I just want everyone to be okay and I’m stressed like all of us. I’ll see you in the Shadowlands, my friends.

If you want to wait until January to experience the raid and Shadowlands, that is your prerogative. The game will still be here in January, as will the raid. You aren’t forced to play in November or December. It’s just a video game.

Well, you just killed me cause I died laughing.

My point is that it’s going to be a buggy and and incomplete mess for months if they don’t delay it further, just look at beta

Huh? You mean like car accidents or kitchen fires or something? What are you talking about?

You are taking a game too seriously if you are putting it ahead of friends and family.

The things you’re likely referring to have all been identified and addressed in current build that isn’t live on beta servers yet. They dont release a new build every time your quest giver is reported as bugged. The endgame currently works with no issues even on live.

Thanksgiving was October 12th so I’m good to go

My family of six will still have a holiday meal and pie. Video games can wait.

Except we have no actual way of knowing that, and based off their track record with BfA/Legion, that will not be the case at all. For instance one of the dungeons just occasionally soft locks itself unless everyone has a teleport ability. That bug has been in since alpha and still isn’t fixed. Fixing leveling, something that should have taken no time at all, has taken weeks and still isn’t fixed. And then there are covenants, soulbinds, and general tuning that are all huge issues that don’t look like they are going to be ready at all for launch.

Lol… what a thread. “I’ll be skipping time with my family to play a video game!”

One could hope. However, this weeks bugs in the new Beta patch are new and different from last week’s bugs. Last week’s bugs are also outstanding. If there was progress, then it would be more promising.

People slamming 20s on beta every day, so mythic plus seems to be just fine. Bring on what ya got, sort the fine print out later, I say

Still issues with broken leveling quests on the beta. This doesn’t affect the ability to run Mythic+ with pre-made level 60s. It will affect launch though. :man_shrugging:

My plans for Thanksgiving are already dead thanks to work so honestly it feels good to have something to look forward to.

You should be in lockdown anyways.

Also, not me. I had Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving in October
