I currently have 1500 gold with me. I always loved the mechanical hog mount, and wanted to craft it. What’s kept me from doing it is that I first need to level up engineering all the way, which will cost me a lot of gold (I haven’t been leveling up engineering at all). After that, I’ll need to buy the schematic, which I believe is another 12000 gold.
Unfortunately I just don’t have the time to grind out all the materials for engineering. Can someone let me know how much gold is necessary for leveling up engineering all the way? And a few tips about how to make some gold quickly would be appreciated!

It really depends on your server. You may have a more difficult time just buying out the mats too with cata released. A lot of people aren’t out farming wrath materials since they’re grinding cata mats and leveling. In terms of gold, if you have gathering professions, I would start farming them asap. If you don’t, start grinding mobs that have chances to drop Volatile Air/Volatile Earth/Volatile Fire, or just run around fishing up pools for Volatile Water. On my server, these are going for 40-60g per one Volatile, and you can see 3-6 dropping at a time.
