I realize youre just trolling, but the discourse is still informative.
Being at a disadvantage can often be very beneficial as it forces you to play better. However there are limitations, especially at very wide gear gaps.

I mean you are saying getting to 227 ilvl isn’t part of the gearing process. Attaining gear isn’t gearing. Yet I’m trolling.
I can agree.
Opt for gear gaps. People opt to stop gearing, so why wouldn’t a gap be created?
Deliberately obtuse or someone with poor reading comprehension. You choose. Either way it’s not a useful contribution.
Gear gaps are fine as long as they don’t get out of hand.
Not really…
What you said is pretty straight forward. You didn’t really leave room for any other interpretation. But continue to try and change your meaning.
Who makes the determination of what is ‘out of hand’. You?
Expect there to be a gear disparity that will frustrate you while you get wrecked with the top Honor gear ilvl197 and ilvl200 Conquest gear. I literally just got out of two battlegrounds where it was impossible to do any meaningful damage but it kept taking me just a second or two to die. If I CC them fast enough I might live a few more seconds but can’t do any meaningful damage at range.
Trust me, I’m a casual enthusiast in PVP like you, I only do PVP in WoW…and everything I typed is what you can expect.
Sure if you interpret it with no context of the general conversation that happens here a dozen times a day.
Nope. That would be blizzard. Bit I can empathize with those frustrated.
Oh, continue to make up the context as you go. It’s okay.
What’s your evidence that it has gotten out of hand. Since you say Blizzard is the authority of that, have they made a statement saying it has?
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Blizzard isn’t known for their transparency concerning player feedback, so this statement doesn’t really hold much weight. And they have touched on scaling, so it’s at least on the radar.
But you said you don’t determine what is out of hand, that’s Blizzard. So at this point you are just making an assumption it’s out of hand, same as everyone else.
Unless you want to redefine what ‘out of hand’ is. Want to provide some actual quantitative data?
But they didn’t say it was out of hand. The WoD like system could potentially still have a gear gap the same as we have today.
I’m not saying you are actually wrong based on my feelings, but I’m not going to support your argument when you provide actually 0 facts to it.
theyve been…
cant think that deleting an entry ilvl pvp geared player in 3 seconds is a good model for anything tbh.
because they’re doing such a great job… maybe it shouldnt be.
as long as there is a way to close that gap available to all play types… then the gap is mitigated as a player plays, even at a casual random bg player.
Doesn’t happen to me, so maybe you should do things differently so it doesn’t happen to you.
But there is a way to close the gap available. Just because you opt out of doing it doesn’t mean it’s not available.
This is the largest gear gap we’ve had without a scaling system, isn’t it? I didn’t play much Legion/BfA, so maybe it was worse then. It’s definitely the worst I’ve felt as a player, but I’m not hyperbolic and acting like it’s insurmountable.
clearly what happens to undergeared players doesnt happen to you, amazing… its almost like everyones lying or youre trolling.
you’re forgetting that alternative pathways to obtain gear have been available longer in this game, than not. if this is how it has historically been then its just how the game is, but its not.
Don’t know. Haven’t seen any evidence to say it is.
You are free to feel that way
Want a Not everyone is going to be happy unfortunately.
‘everyone’, I haven’t seen ‘everyone’ agree with you. Nice attempt.
But it is how the game is now. New expansion, new designed gearing system. Just like Legion had templates. Fact is the path to 227 is AVAIABLE to everyone. Blizzard doesn’t stop you. If you choose not to participate you are making a choice.
Then youre gonna hate the pvp gear grind. Start at 158 and gotta have renown way up to upgrade it. Then you gonna be in randos with max level conquest geared people and youer gonna get 2 shot
lol typical … Ackchyually, you’re attempt at defending a broken system for a company that is obviously far out of touch of their players is simply fantastic. you simp for a company, a bad one at that.
so who is wrong, the game developers that provide a system that doesnt work for a large portion of their player base or the players complaining about changes no one asked for.
I dont remember seeing a plethora of threads asking for massive power gaps, gated ilvl gear, convenants, or more leggos… in fact people were asking for WoD even during Legion.
Oh spare me, just because you think it works and is right doesn’t mean it is.
Oh I’m so hurt. I’m not here bandwagoning your whines and that makes me a simp. You make me laugh.
Evidence about this ‘large portion of their player base’.
Because people don’t typically make whine threads while they are happy. Utilizing the vocal minority (this forum) as evidence is quite amusing.
Maybe not simp, whiteknighting for blizz sounds a little more accurate.
you mean players grievances? yeah how ridiculous of paying customers to voice their opinions.
