MMO?
SWOTOR isn’t great as an MMO but it has a baller campaign. You can play through each class once (particularly imperial agent). Then do the expansion content on any one of them (xpacs are not class specific stories).
If you are open to other genres, you should act fast while the steam sale is going on.
Oh yesss this one is good too
if you like Diablo try Lost Ark. it’s free but pretty sure things are gated and idk last time i played it was during launch and people were complaining about it being p2w but i mean you can literally unlock stuff from it by simply playing it just takes more time thus why it’s f2p. i liked the story though but yea im not too much a fan of those kinds of games in general
Kingdoms of Amalur was quite MMO-like but single-player. I don’t imagine that changed in the re-release from a couple of years ago; however, I didn’t play that only the original release.
swtor has group play but honestly it doesn’t feel like a “need to do” type of thing. I have yet to do any group play and I’ve got three characters top level. I play really slow, and take my time. I’m currently working towards legacy which is where you have one of every class at level 55 i think. I’ve got three out of eight so far.
anyways like you i’m not hot on social play, and I’m old and i play slow. but it is the other game I enjoy alot because it’s so self paced.

Big hugs back!
Yeah, SWTOR is the only game I haven’t cancelled yet. I still play occasionally. But I’ve been playing since release. I have the collectors box set and the Founder title. It’s just become a little stale to me over the years. You know, all those “been there, done that” kind of thing.
Who knows, maybe we’ll run into each other. Just. not on Taris, please…
You could always go down to the local playground and shoot some hoops.
Have you tried Valheim? I’m on my 3rd playthrough.
Toram is great for solo an super customizable not alot of button mashing.
I’m just playing WOW off and on until I can play Ashes of Creation then I’m out of here. I REALLY like the direction that game is going.

I think FFXIV was about as close as you were gonna get. Sure, you needed to play with groups for trials and raids, but wiping on one of those is nowhere near the ragefest you’re going to get with WOW.
Try the entire Assassin’s Creed series.
Go outside bro. I’m sure there’s a park near you…
I think ESO would be right up your alley. It does have group content, but there’s so much solo/open world content that you’ll be entertained for a good long while.
You could wait for that Riot mmo, I guess.
Or play solo games like Total War.
As someone mentioned here before, Guildwars2 is very solo friendly, and pretty casual.
Coming from someone who mainly plays wow solo nowadays, except with a couple of friends. I pretty much steer clear of group content, due to multiple reasons. I mostly log onto GW2 and work on achievements, collections, enjoying the story, and doing everything in open world content.
The story in Guildwars2 is all solo-able, and all the group content in game is optional, but not necessary. The open world content is amazing. There are tons of world bosses in the lower level areas, bigger events at max level that everyone group up for, but you don’t need to join anything to complete. One thing I love is they’ve made the “systems” throughout the expansions relevant in the other ones. It’s not gear driven, so I know many others who come from wow don’t really care for it, but I’ve always gone back to Guildwars2 as my go-to game no matter what.
The story is a bit slow leveling to max level, but the expansions provide a fantastic experience. I’ve had a few friends try the game out, but not give it a chance due to the beginner experience, but sometimes you have to just get through it.
I think that Guildwars2 is so underrated and doesn’t get enough exposure, or love. The community is also one of the nicest ones out there. Everyone is very helpful, and welcoming to new players. The game rewards helping others, and you feel a sense of community there.

If your fine with doing some light modding the original Fallout 1 and 2 seem to be up your ally.Hell,Wasteland 2 and 3 are also great solo games, wtih customization and a rather massive world.
