Alright then, mind reader. What’s YOUR solution? Since you seem so sure that I’ll have issues, what do you suggest I do about them. Tell me now, so I don’t waste my time.
Honestly, Minecraft or Roblox.
The MC modding community provides damn near everything and Roblox has produced some games that, IMO, more than worthy to be stand-alone.
I am one of the people who play a game you dislike. You shouldn’t ask me.
What you should do is think about what you enjoy and what you are after. Then start your search there. Find some things that interest you, then go ask that community about the details.
You may have to sift through a few games to find what fits, but that is part of it.
Think of it like dating. If you are tired of the club life, why ask clubbers where to meet the right person? Think about what you are into, and go find the folks who do that. Ask them what it’s like at best, worst or normal. Continue till you find your niche.
Oh, God, no… neither. Major vertigo, or whatever it’s called, from those. Played them with my kids when they were younger and couldn’t stand either one.
Skyrim modded is what you want
Then you do what I do, use a program called wabbajack that downloads thousands of mods for you and installs a pre made list so you don’t have to spend a week installing them and getting them to play nice with each other
Once you get familiar with Modding you can make your own mod list or edit the pre-made ones
That’s what you’re missing. That’s exactly what I’m doing. I need some place to start, so I asked for suggestions to look at, and asking for people’s opinions. You’re assumption that WoW players only play WoW is wrong. Your club life analogy is flawed.
Roblox is terrible and many of the people higher up, as well as a good deal of people designing the games (like sonic ones) are actual predators.
It’s scary how many ways children are predated upon in Roblox. I highly do not recommend :x Least until they get their stuff together.
I assumed that WoW players enjoy games like WoW. Games you are trying to avoid.
First-person games make me feel so limited. That and it just feels weird.
Me too. My Logitech G600 really helps with it if you don’t have one.
I guess Old Republic didn’t hold the interest?
Sadly, no. I need a true single-player game that isn’t first person and let’s me make my own character. Diablo III was good, but I’ve done both genders of every class to max level and the highest Torment. I have no interest in the rift eSport thing, so I’m done with that until D4 comes out. I have to be able to see my character run and turn and stuff. Otherwise, I get motion sickness, so FPS is out.
My RA isn’t that bad. It’s more the effect my strokes have had on hand-eye coordination and response times. So, even a turn-based game might a solution. But I live under a rock and have no clue what’s available, much less any good.
What about the Destiny games? I haven’t played them, but I think the characters are customizable.
ESO is solo friendly for the most part.
RIOT MMO or bust
ESO has great solo play and good stories (Not all of them but ya can’t win em all I guess). I played through every zone in order with a sub by myself and it lasted me like 3 months.
Idk, Destiny maybe?
No, they’re FPS. I’d be throwing up the whole time.
I’m beginning to think that what I’m looking for simply doesn’t exist. It may be time to forget gaming altogether and find another hobby.
If you like dinosaurs go play Ark Survival Evolved it can be played solo and even with friends on a closed server if you want.
Valheim isn’t completely what you’re asking for but still plenty to keep you busy for a month or so at least esp if you love building things and exploring.
Elden Ring is tough but you can also make it easier with mods I think if you like difficult content.
Elder Scrolls Online is pretty solo player friendly if you want story and like Elder Scrolls.
Elite Dangerous is a very large space game with tons of content that’ll last you awhile if you are into space games and very solo friendly.
Fallout 76 despite the hate has a lot of content and can be played solo but has people around if you want as well. Despite the criticism it’s pretty fun for a Fallout game at least, and I played the heck out of it before I left it.
You could try Rift. It’s an MMO no one really plays anymore, so it’s basically single player.
See you never.
