So does this mean that just being mounted is OP considering there are many dungeons and raids that disallow mounting at all?

You’re actually responding to enemies and obstacles on the ground, even if it’s usage of class abilities to avoid them. In the sky, nothing impedes you, you don’t have to watch out for anything, because you know you’re invincible when you’re in the sky. If there’s a mountain full of enemies and wind gusts blowing you aside, if you can fly to the top in 10 seconds, it may as well be a flat empty surface.

I sometimes feel like these people won’t be happy until everyone has to rp walk everywhere. Ridiculous.

Bonus rewards for having flying off?

That is Wayyyyy less toxic than giving the horde bonus rewards for camping alliance corpses.

Yeah, sorry their minds are way too colonized by their own political arguments. They’re unable to simply take your post as personal and/or at face value.

Again you’re wrong.

You can avoid content by any means you want to, regardless if you’re walking, mounted(ground, flying)

You haven’t give any single shred of evidence to prove your point.

“Invincible in the sky”

You probably should stop talking at this point because nothing you said has any merit.

You HAVE to land to do content, things wont auto complete, or die by themselves.

If you take a flight path to a destination you’re “skipping” content too.

PS don’t become a lawyer you’d be bad at it.

Again, if there’s a mountain with wind gusts pushing you and enemies around, flying to the top in 10 seconds invalidates that. And you would definitely fly to the top instead of traversing the obstacles. Even if it’s better gameplay to have to scale the mountain, people just wouldn’t do it if they have the option to get to the goal.

If you land, you’re landing on specific points of interest. You land when there’s an enemy you have to kill, but you’ll skip over any enemy or obstacle you don’t have to kill, even if the design intent is for those enemies to be in the way, or for that hill to be hard to get around.

What are you even talking about at this point?

That no-flying is good for the game, and just telling people not to fly isn’t a counterargument, because when everyone can fly they will fly, since flying is OP.

Still waiting for you to provide some sort of evidence.

I didn’t realize i can clear whole mythic raid by the use of flying? What is this flying call? Does it give you over 9000 state?

You need evidence that flying lets you skip over enemies and obstacles? You could literally log into WoW and fly over stuff right now. There’s your evidence; a whole Azeroth’s worth of it.

I can do the same thing on a ground mount as a rogue/druid with stealth and on a flight path

Still waiting for your evidence that its just flying

If you could, you would. Saying “don’t fly” wouldn’t stop you from doing it if you could.

What if you show up right after someone else cleared all that stuff for you? This whole “you need to see the content in this specific way” falls apart with world content. If it was really that important to see it in a specific way, they’d make it a phased instance. But for a world quest that you’re going to do a few hundred times over the course of the expansion? It really does not matter one bit how you reach the Tortollan so you can match sea shells.

I mean, you would clear raids a lot faster, since you could skip the trash that they still put in there for some reason.

Hmm, flying in M+, interesting thought.

‘No flying’ ruins the game for me. I enjoy the game far far less without flying, the content becomes boring and dull. Flying enabled me to approach quests in a different manner. Some of the best times were doing the tillers dailies on skyrange and being able to set myself flying goals to enjoy doing the quests in different ways.

I have played almost 10 years and with only a few months break because they were going to remove flying.

This is a function of pathfinder, it has not a single thing to do with flying really. I felt that way after forcing myself to Nazjatar to get flying this expansion but I know it was because of the things I forced myself to do, not flying that caused that. That and the 9 month wait so that I did everything I wanted flying for already anyway.

No, you can’t. Flight paths don’t land you on top of the specific quest goal you’re looking for; and stealth is much slower, does not skip obstacles, and you use it in response to enemies on the ground. Flying is worlds more powerful than stealth or flight paths.

(giggles because some of the arguments against flying sound like they are coming from the same people who argue it’s McDonalds that made them overweight.)

Yes but you’re avoiding content along the way.

and when you run to your destination on a mount, you’re avoiding content still.

At this point you should probably stop posting.

Are you saying the game should be linear?
